Just how many secret, unethical, research projects has the USA done in the early 20th century? What if the real USA science boom of the 1920s- ? was because of these secret research projects?

No wonder we can't get ahead in science anymore in the USA even with scholarships -- we're too ethical now for our own good. :shh:

The US is failing because of adherence to ethics. You may have a point there.

Oh, we are far from ethical but we don't find another country's citizens to practice it on.

The US however makes a practice of using anyone but it's own citizens as a means to an end.

    Morality? Really!

Actually America did do experiments on its own, Tuskegee airman come to mind right off the bat. Lets face it, science is the most immoral of all disciplines, nothing is too far out as long as it brings about knowledge!

Perhaps I should have written 'own white citizens'.

What about the failures that are far more likely to outnumber the successes? I suppose they can be classed as knowledge, even though people suffered and probably not knowing why, not having originally given their consent.

They did that too... With LSD and other psycho drugs... We even participated here at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal...

The french did it, the belgian did it, the british did it, the russian did it... Everybody that is somebody did it at one point... This doesn't excuse the acts but trying to blame only one country for it is hypocretical...

Sounds like the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Anyway, it also goes to show that very few of the attrocities committed in Nazi Germany were totally unique to Nazi Germany at the time.
This was before the advent of the televised news and internet and it was very easy for countries to carry out these types of things in secret.

Experimenting on people has been done in a number of nations.

Imperial Japan had the notorious Unit 731, which conducted terrible experiments on people. It is likely some of this data was used to inform the deliberate spread of biological agents in China during WW2. The USSR used human subjects to test poisons like mustard gas, ricin & curare. Similarly terrible experiments have allegedly taken place in North Korea. Like the Nazi experiments, these all look more like torture than anything recognisably 'medical', and frequently resulted in the death of subjects.

Other experiments took place in Australia, Canada, Sweden, China, the UK & of course the US. The nature of these varied quite widely and often took the form of highly unethical clinical trials. Private companies have also been responsible for similarly unethical behaviour.

Uhhh, I have news for you. Contrary to the lies we're bombarded with, this nation was built on Christian ethics. If it's dying, it's because of a lack of them and for no other reason. Contrary to what you have been told by the liberal press, our Founding Fathers were highly devout individuals, even to the extent that religious services were held in the rotunda of the Capitol Building on Sundays.

The universities our Founding Fathers attended were seminaries, since none other existed, and their writings always emphasized their Christian beliefs. I imagine it was to impress on the kings of Europe, that leaders need not be 'anointed' to rule if people have a deep faith in their hearts. To understand that faith, when Toqueville came from France to study the penal system at the beginning of the 1800's, he was shocked at how devout the American people were.

Well that faith doesn't exist anymore, or at least not to the extent needed so as to counter balance the evil that is going on. It's now gone, and soon we will all be too thank you - and if it's not from the hand of man, then it will be from nature itself as the earth's core keeps heating up.

Here are a few of the 'actual' quotes from the signers of the Declaration of Independence. There are many, many more:

The natives enjoyed the white guys eschewed version of Christianity, along with the black man...If that's Christianity at work I can see why the Devil is still alive to help cover the darkness of the Christians.

And did you ever wonder what the black people were doing before Christianity and the native Americans as well? As one poster wrote, his father or grandfather couldn't stand listening to the screams every night of the person they were torturing, so they went and killed them.

Maybe you better find out what went on before Christianity. Women in India having to throw themselves on their husbands funeral pyre comes to mind.

It's easy to see what great Christians our forefathers were??Exactly how many young women and men were hung by the neck until dead after being convicted of witchcraft by a court of so called Christians.Very similar to todays right wingers, Christian in name only, certainly not their practices.

That was only in very limited situations.
I think you're drastically blowing that out of proportion.

Women are still being killed for witchcraft in parts of Africa and the U.S.'s ally in the Middle East Saudi Arabia.

You are the one proclaiming the greatness of Christanity...Yet the humans practicing Christianity are the ones that are the devils.

I'm proclaiming the virtues of Christianity - which means the devils can't really be Christians. But no matter how bad they are, the Christian laws that have been adapted by almost all the nations on earth, outweighs any harm the so called 'Christians' might have done.

The problem with the witchcraft trials, is that innocent people might have been killed - but look, some good came out of them since it did stop witchcraft in Protestant Europe - but not in Italy, or the Near and Middle East.

I'm not joking here. There was a TV series in Greece called the Witches of Smyrna. The people were deeply in the occult and almost ended up in the sea because of it - compliments of Ataturk of course. Lucky for them, an American teacher convinced the Greeks to make him an admiral, and he saved most of them by putting an American flag on the Greek ships. Almost 2 million ended up in Greece as refugees.

It was also prevalent in the South, having come in with the Blacks from Africa. A Creole from New Orleans was the cause of the problems in Salem Mass.

Anyway you can believe whatever you want to believe, but my experiences tell me differently.

In your opinion, and the laws predate Christianity.
