If Jesus died for my sins, in advance, why again shouldn't I sin? If we didn't sin, wouldn't that devalue his sacrifice? Perhaps we should sin as much as possible to maximize the value of his sacrifice and bring glory unto him?

Isn't it just as easy to sin all you want and simply ask for forgiveness on your death bed?

It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Its also convenient how Jesus will forgive me for doing mean things to others, even if they wont.

From a Biblical standpoint, perhaps the answer to your line of questioning can be found in John 8:3-11.

As for myself, I don't think Jesus' death serves as a license to ill. That's kinda missing the point...

Jesus is not real. Do what you want to do. That's what's going to happen anyway.

If Jesus died for my sins, I could not accept it withoput sinning as I would have to abdicate my responsibility for my sins.

I would not do what Christians do, plan to ride a scapegoat Jesus, because Jesus teaches us to carry our burdens and not lay them onto another.

Only immoral people will accept Jesus' sacrifice, if it were even true.

A moral person would reject the offer the church makes of salvation as the price is too high.

    That brings this to mind.

“Be a sinner and sin strongly, but more strongly have faith and rejoice in Christ.”
    Martin Luther

You are also likely aware that Christians sing of Adam's sin being a happy fault and necessary to god's plan.

Mind you, Christians always run away when I question them on that as they have forgotten how to do the apologetics for it. Don't teach them.

He didn't die for our sins. He took a three day vacation then disappeared for 2,000 years...

Do what you want to do???

Are there no laws in your country?

Are they not a deterrent to crime or do your police let belief in Jesus do their job?

When did I say anything about no laws in my country?

When did I say anything about deterrents to crime or belief in Jesus doing their job?

    Indeed.

Who is that son of a genocidal garbage god, and not much better himself, to usurp my right to forgive.

It is to the victim to forgive, not that son of a vile god, or anyone else.

    Correct.

    So explain this.

"Do what you want to do. That's what's going to happen anyway."

let's assume the story is true, would it not be weird of a God to say, if you kill me in my human form, I will forgive all your sins, otherwise I am forced to punish you all for eternity?

it sounds like Jesus did a good deed, protecting us from God's wrath.... unless you believe Jesus and God are one and the same

So you do not live by the law of the land.

    Ok.

    How so?

He is asking us to accept his punishment as justice.

Do you think it just to punish the innocent instead of the guilty?

    Another quick question on this.

Would Jesus as god, sort of, not have been the one to condemn us in the first place, and was that condemnation just?

    Regards

Again, what does that have to do with living by the laws of the land?

you have to read my entire reply vs just the snipped part...

Jesus is the one that said if we killed him, he would forgive our sins, seems like a weird thing for a God to do

"it sounds like Jesus did a good deed,".... as in, until you look at the story closer.....

It is and I had nothing to say to that, but did want to ask what I did to open other issues up.

you asked about Jesus dying for your sins, so discussing that is part of the topic I would think?

I doubt that you can get a quote where Jesus says any such thing.

Let's not be as loose with claims as Christians are.

Granted, I wasn't a very attentive student in Sunday school, but I don't recall Jesus ever saying that.

Could you quote & link the scripture you're citing?

You are indicating you would or do not.

"Do what you want to do. That's what's going to happen anyway."

This ends here. We are not discussing with or seem to understand each other.
