I was surprised. I have a friend that has an elderly woman for a neighbor. She goes in to check on her and she is convinced that Trump is the best person on the planet and he's going to bring back segregation, lynching and shred civil rights. I think she's in her 80s, maybe early 90s so she remembers life back then.

So, I thought it was cool because my friend didn't even want to talk about politics (so I didn't have to worry she might choose Trump). Well, the elderly neighbor indoctrinated her to the point she registered and voted for Trump. She had NO outside information. She just got hooked. And, she doesn't watch the news, read newspapers, or even Google anything. The only "news" is FaceBook. She doesn't even verify. She just goes from zero to 80 on a dime. It took me about an hour to get her to comprehend the "Dr." title thing. Then, when she finally realized I was correct, she started b!tching about Jill not fixing the education system in this country [which is incredibly funny if you think about that a minute].

I don't believe it was that in depth. He told them that he is only their president and he terrified them with spooky stories so he could play hero. Just the fact that he hates who they hate is enough for them.

All of his rallies are the same. Him acting like a elementary school class clown but not as funny. I was under the mistaken impression that we choose elected officials based on their ability to lead our country aligned with our values and we go online and buy tickets when we want to go to a comedy club. Apparently, everyone doesn't make that distinction.

I got misty a few times over him doing nothing to help the Capitol police officers and that was my white flag. I get why they might question some of his fraudulent activities, absolute lack of morals and ethics and even his obnoxious, buffoonish speeches. But, NOBODY on this side of prison bars should excuse what he instigated and allowed to take place at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. That is way out of bounds and has nothing to do with partisanship. Our own POTUS put a price on his own VP's back with a lie and sat and did not do a damn thing when the crowd he incited mob attacked those officers. I won't forgive that. I won't forgive anyone that justifies or excuses it either. Until that day, I believed that we are all Americans and we need to find a way to come together for the good of our country. As of this moment in time, I want nothing to do with any of them. I won't be angry forever but it's going to take a minute.

My only consolation prize is knowing that he's going down in history as a traitor to his own country and Constitution.

So, I saw this bubble up again. Turns out, that the vaccines didn't stop the spread. Nor did they protect folks from becoming infected, and then also didn't stop those infected folks from exposing others.

Doesn't matter is folks were vaccinated or not. Omicron infected everyone. At some point, all of this anxiety driven hyperbole really needs to stop. Democrats don't actually wear the masks, you know. They just expect everyone else to. That was all it was ever about. Democrats can't tolerate "others" not in their elite. And now, those, like the above who ranted for years about how "others" were the problem, it kind of turns out it was democrats, who, literally have always been the problem here. I recall folks from the left calling for camps, you know, like Australia. And now? now that science and medical professionals have demonstrated just how futile their othering has been, well, suddenly, quietly in fact, democrats are seeing just how stupid they look now. Canadians attacked their own people for just begging government to be reasonable. Talk about feckless thugs and tyrants.

We shall remember all of this useless hyperbole. Democrats, gripped in their power mongering and tyranny. All the while, Biden failsd to keep the world peace. What a remarkable failure. I agree with your post. And I think Trump will be facing the judgement of history sooner than we once thought. If there is anything the situation with Ukraine appears to be showing, is that sensible people have not yet lost the information wars to the Trumpers.

I went back to your OP, and this thread seems to me to be about bigotry, namely the labeling of all unvaccinated people as "diseased" while completely ignoring all of the vaccinated people who are diseased and are "killing grandma". Your bigotry on this issue is downright disgusting.

The science is in. The "virus inhibitors" didn't work, you still got the virus, and you still could spread it. Masking didn't work, lots of studies to show that now. All that is left is for folks like you to cry that your totalitarian power grab didn't work out for you. cry.

They worked as intended as proven by the fact that less people who were vaccinated went to the hospital or died. But this thread is not about explaining to you how vaccines work. There are multiple threads in this forum that do that.

 

The mRNA therapy isn't a vaccine. The J&J one is.

So there is a vaccine but not everything that you call a vaccine is.

 

You might want to look back to those threads, as several of us spent a lot of time debunking your assertion here. No, the anti virals DID NOT preclude you from getting COVID, and certainly seems to have made getting Omicron more possible for those who have now been infected. The antiviral didn't keep folks from dying, too many casualties for that claim to be truthful here. And in no way did the anti virals actually stop the spread, another key aspect of your thread. So, your thread fails. Your commentary failed. And the BS lockdowns you promoted, like masking, made it worse for lots of folks, upended the economy, destroying the livelihoods of tens of millions of citizens, etc.

I'd ask you a simple question, are you also going to be as willing to own the results baed on the long term effects of these jabs? Or will you be running away forgetting all of these threads you pushed..?
