Dunno, I had read NK has tons of missile sites. If Seoul has to be rebuilt it may be worth it.

I don't think NK can deliver a nuke to Seoul as of yet...or am mistaken?

They can absolutely deliver a nuke to Seoul. They could practically roll it down the hill. But, it's unlikely anyone would nuke their closest neighbor. Fallout is an actual thing.
The big fear is their conventional weaponry. The amount of dug in artillery they have pointing South is pretty impressive. It might be the most well defended border in history.

They say most of North Korea's military bases are underground or in the mountains, so I suppose it will depend on, intelligence - locating them all (I'm thinking the Chinese will have this), missile defense systems of the US, China and Japan and precision bombing... but ugh I hate the idea of this happening... so risky.

North Korea doesn't have to deliver a nuke to Seoul it can blow up the South's nuclear facilities and if they do you could see a toxic cloud spread over heavily industrialised northern China and Beijing as well, welcome to a recession worldwide. If Jong Un manage to hit Japan that's a third of the world's economy embroiled in Trumps war.

The disparity between North and South is so great, that reunification would place a serious financial, economic and social burden on the South, from which it might have great difficulty recovering. Better to maintain two separate Koreas and have the North move into the Modern Era.

Most people focus on North Korea's Plutonium-based nuclear weapons program, while ignoring the likelihood that North Korea has lower yield Uranium-based warheads. Remember that it is not necessary to test a gun-design for a Uranium warhead. It's just as likely that North Korea has 20 kt Uranium-based gravity bombs, and possibly artillery fired atomic projectiles for their artillery guns, which would have yields of around 0.1 kt.

I see a simultaneous cruise missile strike on power grid and radar sites. Radar is visible to radar receiving aircraft, we know where the radar sites are, as well as where key electrical infrastructure sites are located now. It takes a few minutes between each missile launch but missiles can be directed to loiter around in the airspace until all missiles are over target and hit simultaneously. Capitol if NK is instantly blind, deaf, and in the dark, b-52's already enroute, in numbers that will block the sun, carpet bomb the capitol of NK relentlessly until the rubble is small enough to use as playground sand. 4 hours tops.

Missiles loiter? You are obviously confusing missiles with the intellectual capability of Republican presidents.

Actually you need at least an 8 inch diameter shell for a gun type device to work. No uranium based gun type artillery projectile was ever tested by being fired through the gun. The NK's don't have an artillery piece that will do this. You can fit a linear implosion device into a 155 but you're using plutonium and it's not that efficient and for the NK's a big waste for the fissionable material they have.

There is no evidence that they have married one of their nukes to a missile yet or even configured it as a bomb.

That would be a possibility, if NK has enough firepower left after initial strike(s), that is.

Fat boy Kim Jongun most likely has already dispersed and deployed his heavy arty already and camo'ed them.

Yeah, all depends what and where the satellites pinpoint all the hardware, and what kind if any strikes there are. It could turn out like desert storm 1, where after initial thrust, there was total disarray, and you had 4000 Iraqis surrendering to 50 marines, not saying it'll happen here.

That would be an act of war by the USA.

I do not expect that to happen.

There have been no ultimatums given by the USA.

It's only likely to be a measured missile strike from a couple of guided missile Destroyer warships on nuclear and missile development sites.

What the fat boy does in response however is totally unknown and unpredictable.

In the past when the fat boy shelled S.Korea the S.Koreans did nothing.

Cruise missiles can loiter over their target until directed to hit. Google it.

Given how badly the Commies have mismanaged North Korea, Trump upping the ante toward war may finally force the military to depose Kim Jong-un. And then we all lived happily ever after.

It's pretty safe to say, that any reckless military strike on North Korea, would result in the destruction of Everything between the DMZ, and Seoul. The North as a massive amount of fortified artillery ready to unload on the south.

    It sure was.

Few will disagree: An estimated 1.3 trillion euros ($1.7 trillion) have flowed from the former West Germany to the former East Germany over the last 20 years. And the tab is still running. To this day, the East is gobbling up subsidies estimated between 70 and 80 billion euros a year. That lifeline will continue for at least another nine years when funds from the Solidarity Pact are slated to end. Even then, structurally poor states, such as Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, can expect to receive further cash infusions through the Federal State Financial Equalization program, which aids poorer states in the western half, including Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Saarland.
