It's kind of funny how you take Federal salaries then list off a bunch of ultra high well educated positions.

As having worked for years with federal firefighters they get paid much less than their counterparts not in federal government.

    All Employees
According to the BLS, the average earnings for full-time federal government employees was $74,403 in 2009. This figure does not factor in employee benefits, which are an important part of a federal employee's compensation.

Obviously you overlooked the first statement.

Truth? The rich don't flock to Mobile, Alabama. they flock to New York, California, and other commerce-driven states where they can enjoy their spoils. This doesn't make the poor any more or less rich. You'll still find the poorest Americans in the Republican-led states.

Touché. Even if they lived offshore, it wouldn't change the national income inequality.

How thorough of you. I already posted info that public teachers make about 14 grand more and here you are to post some crap.

Thanks to private entities squeezing employees for pay, the public employees now look like they are overpaid. I say to the private workers, screw you and sink with your private employer. Public teacher have s litany of requirements to meet that private teachers do not.

The assumption not acknowledged in your post is that public school teachers should not be compensated for the extra level of education and accreditation that they earn.

    I disagree with your premise.

Considering the jobs they had were in the lumber mills long since closed by tree hugger sabotage and nothing else has shown up to replace them almost entirely because the left in the liberal cities get all uber NIMBY the minute some one tries to open up a manufacturing plant they wouldn't be sitting home on their asses because there aren't any damn jobs.

That the public sector gets paid much better than the private sector except at the top end.

Spreading the wealth is a Marxist concept and is meant to attack and destroy Capitalism by punishing people who are more successful than others.

That's why I balk at the phrase income inequality. It's just a dishonest buzzword meant to tug at your heart strings and manipulate the uneducated and unintelligent.

Income inequality is a statistical artifact created for political purposes.

You are trying to toss a statistical salad. It is as disingenuous as those red states are welfare state memes that circulate around. I know that a pissing match between two parties is a good morale booster for their respective members, but America has some real problems and neither side is doing much about addressing any of them.

What world are you living in that the CEO of Walmart earned his $100s millions compensation packages?

What do you mean by success? Surely not earned?

Why do you think he doesn't deserve the money?

Just because you're envious that he has so much more of it than you?

Why should he be punished for his success?

Why should the money be taken from him or her and given to a person who is completely lazy and contributes nothing to society but is a drain on resources that can be used elsewhere?

Why do we all have to be exactly the same as one another?

Even in a socialist country, those who control the gold have all the power, and as history has shown it's always in the hands of a select few who think they are better than everyone else.

    You are unable to calculate median government employee income from the information provided. I'm sorry. :}
