Here's an article as to possibly why this hearing has been quickly added to the list..... physical safety of another American telling some truth...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/jan-6-hearing-moved-over-025919569.html

Let's hope nobody gives Cassidy an ultra violent pat on the back on the way into the chamber....

Also, here's this laughable job of her former lawyer

    SNIP
Hutchinson was previously represented by Stefan Passantino, Trump’s main ethics attorney while in office.

Jan. 6 committee subpoenas former White House counsel Pat Cipollone after Tuesday’s blockbuster testimony from ex-aide

The House committee’s decision follows testimony from former aide Cassidy Hutchinson that identified the lawyer as having firsthand knowledge of potential criminal activity in the Trump White House. Committee members have come to believe that the former counsel’s testimony could be critical to their investigation.

"Trump" and "ethics" should NEVER be in the same sentence. No. Just hell to the no. ;-)

Rudy Giuliani.....It's truly hard to believe this man used to be one of the top prosecutors in the country.... in his previous life, before the brain reduction surgery....

Now he's literally too stupid to tweet

    SNIP
She was never present when I asked for a pardon,” Giuliani wrote.

Giuliani quickly realized that he needed to try again.

He deleted the tweet and replaced it with one that more clearly stated his claim that he did not, actually, ask for a pardon.

I did not want or need a pardon,” he said.

Giuliani for good measure said he has unnamed witnesses who could “corroborate that she and the Committee are perpetrating yet another lie.”

Which, any first year law student (or 6th grader) will note is NOT a denial that he asked for a pardon....

Rudy has unnamed witnesses who could corroborate he never asked for a pardon??

Cool.... I have witnesses who could corroborate I never asked Margot Robbie to model bikini's for me...

Anyone see the meme, making fun of the irrational claim Trump assaulted SS agents and took the wheel? Lmao it’s hilarious, I forget what movie it’s from.

but it’s just another example of the hyper partisan jan 6th committee submitting false “evidence”. Which is why no rational person takes testimonial “evidence “ seriously.

This sounds like it'll be a fun 1/6 trial.... Oath Keepers = T****'s personal militia.... Anybody of German descent familiar with that concept??

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/oath-keepers-tell-jury-really-224643643.html

So, I'm confused.... they were going to be federalized for only 2 weeks? For what purpose?? Since they don't believe they were committing sedition and T**** was going to leave??

Best of luck..... This is what happens when you get MAGA-level lawyers lawyering for your freedom....

I read that article..... hard to believe a die hard like McCarthy is talking like that, although I fully disagree with his analysis of a possible seditious conspiracy charge

    SNIP
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

In my mind, the 2nd bold is 1000% proven.... the only foreseeable issue might be naming people T**** actually conspired with, with what we know now...

But SOMEBODY had to be telling the Oath Keepers to be ready to participate.

But McCarthy points out a lot of other possible charges.... Garland's head must be spinning with options...

This will never get to the T**** level, but nobody will be surprised witness intimidation went on during the Committee's work

Sounds like they know who did it, and name dropped Meadows while doing it...

    SNIP
The former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson received at least one message tacitly warning her not to cooperate with the House January 6 select committee from an associate of former chief of staff Mark Meadows, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

“[A person] let me know you have your deposition tomorrow. He wants me to let you know that he’s thinking about you. He knows you’re loyal, and you’re going to do the right thing when you go in for your deposition,” the message read. The redaction was “Meadows”, the sources said.

I've always heard there was a federal department in the USA that would investigate and charge things like this quickly. Whatever happened to that group??

That's how they roll. There are also some ethical concerns (surprise! surprise! as Gomer says) because the Orange Stain is providing legal representation to some people thereby raising questions of a little push and shove.

The part that gets me is these <censoring myself> are the first to claim that racism, sexism and homophobia doesn't exist but if they are cool with the BS he pulls ON CAMERA AND RECORDED PHONE CALLS, can you imagine what deals get cut in back rooms that people don't see? I'm an advocate so I don't own any rose-colored glasses but it ticks me off every time one of them try to claim they know what they are talking about. They are either part of the problem or willfully ignorant - neither of those are good things (for those with self-respect).

P.S. Completely unrelated to politics, I just learned a few years back that he was an accomplished singer.

The sound is bad on this one but you can hear that he is incredibly talented in controlling his voice and range.

Jim Nabors was a solid singer... He did 'Back Home Again in Indiana' before the Indy 500 for many years...

But now they have Jim Cornelison, who rocks that sucker...

More lefties hopes and dreams are coming crashing down as the fiery but mostly peaceful protest of j6 doesn’t catch the eye of America s in light of a recession.

That "investigation" is not about saving "our democracy", It's more about scattering enough political debris that Trump can't find a path through it in '24. Nobody involved in it cares about Democracy beyond the cherry picked portions that serve their own political needs. Trump can't give us back the America we hoped for because we are too late. Left wing dogma is deeply ingrained in our education, entertainment systems and news media and the leaders are dedicated and hard core. Middle America got snuck up on because we were fat, dumb and happy and the change wasn't painful as it seldom is............at first.

Probably because they had a pre-existing relationship, Cassidy's job being the House liaison for Meadows' office and Liz formerly the #3 MAGA in the House... She shook hands with or hugged all committee members present that day, as the committee has personally thanked every witness appearing before them after each hearing...

You'd know that if you had bothered to watch any of them....

You want to destroy democracy? Keep arresting and confiscating phones and computers of Trump administration officials and lawyers.

You're telling me that they have like a dozen of Trump's lawyers' and staff's phones and computers, and all they show us is: "See! Trump knew there was no fraud", and "He grabbed the wheel of the limo!"

To put into perspective, imagine if they crapped all over our system back in the day, and just seized all of John Gotti's lawyer's records. And afterwards they announce accusations as vague and ridiculous as they have in this committee...

Politicians have always challenged elections. I just watched them do it for 4 years after the 2016 election. Abrams did it in Georgia. They did it in 2000. No, what's new is the new political administration arresting the previous ones. Did Trump have his political opponents, or journalists jailed? Biden has... Who is destroying democracy?

The only thing wrong with serving a valid legally signed warrant on Clark and Eastman was the length of time it took to get there... If they still had their original phones from the 1/6 timeframe, I'd be stunned....

Just out of curiosity, would YOU have supported sending the Clark letter to the state of Georgia, giving patently incorrect information, on DOJ letterhead??

The only lesson I'm getting from the Democrats right now with this commission is: Remember how you thought we had an adversarial justice system in which you could consult with your lawyer without the government seizing that communication? We are gonna make you watch us do it to Trump, and the lesson is: if we can openly do it against a former president, you were mistaken in believing YOU have those rights.

If you still think the 1/6 commission was designed to be part of the 'adversarial justice system', you are farther gone than I can help save....

Also, if you think the commission had ANYTHING to do with the Clark and Eastman seizures, see above...

    Sorry....

It was designed to politically destroy their adversaries. If it were not, there would be only one witness called. Guess who?

I'll paint you a picture of that fateful day:

Somewhere, around DC, in a living room in the suburbs perhaps, sat a general, who watched the events unfold on TV. This general is responsible for a few thousand DC National Guard troops. His life's mission is security of the nation's capital, if required.

He's the only witness we need.

QUESTION 1: As you watched the events unfold, did you think your services might be required? Did you make any phone calls pursuant to that end?

QUESTION 2: Did you at least put on your uniform in expectation of receiving a call?

QUESTION 3: Did any of your superiors call you that afternoon, who, and what did they ask of you?

QUESTION 4: Why, after watching what we all saw happening, did you not show up there?

He's the only witness we need, because any planned insurrection has to account for this general whose duty is security against exactly such an event.

IF IT WAS TRUMP that talked to this general in any way that would influence the NG deployment, that's slam dunk insurrection. We would have heard that already. So we know it wasn't Trump that told him to not show up.

I'm expected to believe that these yahoos on this committee don't know that, and/or they aren't interested in who talked to that general on that day?! Preposterous!
