Israel does not want to see a muslim nation becoming strong enough to have influence over the future of the region, let alone sucking up an independent one like Iran who time to time threatens Israel right in its home. Iran can't stand the fact jews having a role in shaping up the region.

The Israeli "Arab periphery" concept was short lived when they couldn't accept the right of return for the Shia refugees. Those Shia refugees banded together to form Hezbollah in Lebanon with Iranian support.
Iran would probably be OK with Israel, as it was prior to the 1979 revolution, if Israel could adopt democracy.

dont you think that they punch way above their weight in this case , if its so... then Iran is way lesser Muslim country then any of Israel neighbors. back on topic , Muscovy has always crossed over-crossed all allies a good example, Koba who brutally crossed Hitler in Poland, broke all agreements and put Hitler in one way situation. Iran is a smart guy, they know what to expect from Kremlin kleptocracy

Who punches above their weight by doing what? And how in the world can someone infer such conclusion from what i posted that Israel thinks of Iran a lesser muslim nation than those neighboring ones?
