Thomas Paine and our Founding Fathers weren't Republicans but their ideas were adopted and listed above as if they were the ideas of fascists. Therefore, not trolling but TRUTH.

Well I dunno, I think the Democrats started the Civil War, held the presidency during the start of WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Viet Nam war, Kosovo and Libya. So, what party is known as the war party?

Your party financed Marx, Hitler, and the Bolsheviks which started every war in the 20th century. The two wars we now have were also started by terrorist traitor Republican Bush.

Heh, heh, heh - read the writings of CONSERVATIVE Antony Sutton who documented all this many years ago. Click on search for my previous links on the subject.

Oh by the way, did I mention that Professor Sutton was a CONSERVATIVE?
    Oh yes, a CONSERVATIVE.

Fascism ideology wasn't around at that time and they followed the 18th Century philosophers of the Enlightenment. You don't know history or philosophy well.

I think that 9/11 and the wars that ensued were started by Muslim terrorists.

That is accurate. I have that book also. I have many times argued that the Nazis were on the far left. And Dinesh D'Souza is correct.
This instant, i can't quote the high German Nazi leader who put into his diary that Hitler was going to change everything to socialism. I am thinking it was Goebbels in his diary.

They absolutely are. I once voted strictly party line for Democrats. Why is a good question. Mom was very powerful when it came to her kids learning politics. I admit she fooled me. She was wonderful, but she fooled me. I think she simply did not understand. I changed upon study. A good deal of study is not to be found on any campus. Who knows that our founders intended to create full liberty? Democrats deny this. This is one of their terrible lies. And they do not mind lying.

The list of benefits by Adolph Hitler has been posted. And he vastly improved the economy of Germany. This may fool you into favoring fascism or Nazism but it costs your freedom.

I did not watch the videos (don't intend to, don't need to), did read the OP, then reviewed the source document you yourself mention in the OP briefly that I had read more carefully in the relatively recent past. It's gibberish almost to the point of mystical babble. AFAIK, there is no standard, recognized political ideology or theory of politics called "fascism," (just like there is none called "conservatism" or "liberalism") but rather historical political -parties- that have used the term, and there is a huge difference. It is a malleable form of dictatorship that is, as I posted before, whatever dear leader says it is in the moment. It is an imprecise, vague term that needs to be retired in favor of better words already listed. A cursory read of the wiki page and all the diverse, variable rambling there confirms that my analysis is correct. The attempted definitions there are all forms of totalitarianism that branch off differently and descriptively in all manner of confusing directions. Better to just stop at "totalitarianism," a word with a clear meaning and be done with it.

tldr, The term doesn't really mean anything other than a few political parties of the past.

Actually, you do need to watch the videos. They are both short but have vital information on the history of fascism. If you don't watch it, you don't really have the ability to dispute the argument if you don't know what the argument is. You are arguing from a point of ignorance, something I find all too common with posters on the left.

    Fascism ...

A part that Mussolini was Socialist for real [he was a Socialist leader], the term "Fascism" makes reference to the "fasci" [fasci di combattimento, created by Mussolini in 1919 ... combat fasci]. The word came from Latin and it indicated the "fascis" carried by the "littori" as symbol of power.

The term itself is neutral as for political orientation.

And Italian Fascists aimed to a "social system" based on social corporations [a kind of third way in the middle between a market economy and a socialist system].

If you ask to an Italian about Fascism the answer will be "it was a dictatorship". It was an "extreme right" dictatoriship simply because a large part of the population was Communist and Socialist, so that the dictatorship had to be right leaning. The problem for those Italians is that they knew the ideals of Socialism and Communism, but they didn't live under a real Socialist regime [so they believed in an utopia].

I find that posters from the left here are the ones who tend to link videos into threads without their own summary or explanations of what's in them, then repeating "you didn't watch the video" over and over, and am surprised to see you doing it. Preferring to analyze the original source as opposed to youtube commentaries on it (or whatever secondary source) is not "arguing from a point of ignorance" despite some preferences for secondary sources in the morass of wiki-think.

So, I have now wasted time watching videos containing things I already knew, and the opinion I posted in my first post to this thread remains entirely unchanged (I'll wager that both D'Souza and Goldberg would agree with me also... but the point of what they are doing in the videos is dispelling a leftist usage, not substantiating a general usage). A "Democracy" in which people willingly and permanently surrender all personal sovereignty to the state is a paradox, it cannot exist, and the false way it appears to exist is, as I posted earlier, at the end of a gun barrel. The term "fascism," other than as narrowly descriptive of a very few political parties in the past, needs to be discarded for vagueness.

It's useful as a generalization of a type of socialism different from a left wing socialism.

fascism, described by mussolini as the merger of business with government, is in no way liberal or left of center. perhaps this is another case of the insufficiency of a two dimensional line to map political or economic movements.

those who knew and ubderstood fascism best of all, churchill, fdr, stalin should be consulted before running to d'nesh d'souza or jonah goldberg. the combatants in the spanish civil war were also quite certain on which side they stood.

the uniforms, nationalism, belligerent foreign policy, role of women, minorities, homosexuals etc should be examined in more detail before jumping to conclusions on this very important subject.

    Clueless.

Trump wants to return power to the people and the states, taking it away from Washington.

Obama wanted to expand Washington's control over our lives. He was an authoritarian.

"Right" means minimal government. And the furthest you can go to the right on the political spectrum is America in 1776. You can't find a society more free from government meddling than the U.S. in the 18th century.

"Left" means complete government control over the economy and the people. The furthest left you can go would be Stalin's Soviet Union or Mao's China. Fascism has more in common with those governments than the American model.

those arent fascist political goals. fascists dont give a **** about them. in the past they have used them for political strategy, but they have no ideological attachment to them. if you read the things fascists care about, the economy is almost irrelevant to them, everything is about their concept of clashing nations and the struggle for supremacy.

the core belief of fascism is that people naturally belong to nations and that nations compete.

Sounds a lot like Obama, Bernie's, and Hillary's Democrats, who have all of a sudden taken to 'hating populism n stuff' since they decided to crap on the American working class, internecine warfare and violence along racial lines since the 1980's, and now demonize them as worse than Nazis. They don't give a rat's ass about 'The economy' any more, either, and have taken up defending Islamic terrorists, criminal illegal aliens, black nationalism, cop killing, and La Raza goals.
