    Some days,
    The News is Good! :D

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/justin-trudeau-facing-renewed-calls-161353976.html

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing renewed calls

to resign after a secretly recorded telephone call between two

senior figures in his administration was made public, escalating

claims he tried to shield an allegedly corrupt firm from prosecution.

The 17-minute call took place in December between Jody Wilson-Raybould, then the attorney general, and Michael Wernick, then Canada’s most senior civil servant, about the engineering company SNC-Lavalin, which was accused of paying bribes to Libyan officials.

Mr Wernick is heard in the audio telling Ms Wilson-Raybould that Mr Trudeau is interested in having the firm avoid criminal prosecution in favour of paying a fine, repeatedly saying that the prime minister is in a “pretty firm” frame of mind on the issue.

"I think he is going to find a way to get it done one way or another. He's in that kind of mood. I wanted you to be aware of that,” Mr Wernick is heard saying at one point.

Ms Wilson-Raybould in turn pushes back, raising concerns that the conversation could amount to “political interference” and an attempt to breach her “prosecutorial independence”
. She declined to push for the prosecution to be dropped.

Ms Wilson-Raybould was eventually moved from the role in January, one month after the phone call, and given the more junior position of veterans affairs minister. She has since resigned and gone public with claims she was inappropriately leaned on.

After U.S. complaint, Canada to soften rules for jet competition to allow Lockheed Martin bid: source

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada is softening the rules of its multibillion-dollar competition for 88 new fighter jets to allow Lockheed Martin Corp to submit a bid, following a complaint by Washington, a Canadian government source said on Thursday.

The source, who requested anonymity given the sensitivity of the situation, said Ottawa was acting after the United States told Canada the regulations would exclude Lockheed Martin's F-35 fighter, the plane the Canadian air force wants.

The complaint was the latest challenge for a trouble-plagued process that has dragged on for more than a decade. . . . .

    Yes massa :flagus:

I wonder if my proposal will be offensive to many Americans?

It is to a significant founded on top of my understanding of the possibility that the British North America Act of 1867 may have wanted to emulate the central banking experiment initiated by President Abraham Lincoln????

Five hundred dollars per Canadian per month, can this work?

The offensiveness is a neighbor along the longest, unguarded border
creating a political plutocracy in Ottawa enslaving British Columbia,
Newfoundland and others from prospering as they could if not
    ruled by Ottawa.

The :flagcanada: peoples need only wake up to their subjugation to Ottawa!

Cat filter accidentally gets activated during press conference for double murder
( Wrong! :angered: Read below. Not accidentally, automatically!)

Canadian police are setting the record straight after the cat filter activated during a press conference regarding a double murder.

In the video, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sgt. Janelle Shoihet spoke regarding the double murder of Lucas Robertson Fowler and Chynna Noelle Deese, an Australian man and American woman, which took place in British Columbia earlier this week. The cat filter’s effects, which included cat ears and whiskers, can be seen in a screenshot of the video taken by National Post correspondent Tyler Dawson, according to The Daily Hive.

Though some assumed the filter was a prank, the police department replied to a screenshot of the video and confirmed that it was actually just a mistake caused by an “automatic setting.” . . .

No Double Murder announcement would be complete without a "nice"
    cat filter to demonstrate remorse.
So it is on "automatic". No accident per headline.

CANADA's DETENTION OF MENG WANZHOU of HUAWEI
    is less important than Lobster.
CANADA, FREE MENG WANZHOU! detained almost 10 months now.

    https://news.yahoo.com/trump-trade-war-china-creates-040027033.html
Trump’s trade war with China creates unexpected winner:
    Canada's lobster industry

The US lobster industry was dealt a fresh blow in July, when China announced new tariffs on live lobsters, as part of a broader levy on exports from the US. The latest move will add an additional 10% to the price of lobsters headed for China, which already face 25% penalty tariffs.

One clear winner of the trade war has been Canada, which has exported twice as many live lobsters in 2019 as the previous year, according to industry figures. . .
    .
