I am getting a lot of notices with the server is busy. Anyone else? Yea, same here. What's goin' on? Are dey usin' Hillary's server?
Likely the server (which hosts many websites usually) is updating in the background or something and everyone is dealing with the result.
I was in early when hardly anyone was on the site.....and still kept getting it. Even after that 2nd post of mine. Its been like every 3 or 4 posts and it comes back. Oh and Right this very moment when I went to make this post.
My guess would be it's a DOS attack. They're not uncommon for political websites and blogs. A large operation can handle them but it's tougher for a privately owned operation like this.
The problem starts when a Server is over burdened with many many other forums and there is a huge volume of traffic on all those forums and likey this forum is on a secondary basis and when other traffic is high, this forums members get Deprioritized and are not allowed access until primary traffic decreases substantially.
Happened so much yesterday that I finally gave up as by the time I wrote a post and hit send I would get the server is too busy error.
We are all having the same issues. It's been reported to the site owner and I believe she is working on it. While I understand the frustration this stuff causes, please try and be patient. Thanks all, JohnnyMo Moderator EDIT: While trying to post this comment I got the server too busy message too
The forum is approaching being dysfunctional. It is important to remember to: 1.) copy any post you write and putting it on word pad before submitting it and 2.) try to remember what forum and thread you were on for it.
Be patient!?! C'mon man we're trying to save the world here! We were 3 posts away from solving the Palestinian dilemma when the server jammed up...
Just a few years ago, this problem was more persistent. Probably this forum is so popular that there are too many guests viewing this site like 2,000-3,000 guests at the same time, mostly from the US and Russia. PF has been virtually unobtainable for me since about 0600 GMT today. Managed to get a couple of posts in. but for the rest of the time I've been sitting here twiddling me thumbs! I mean BST
Ain't it a bummer when you write a longish post then when you push Send the 'down' notice appears and you lose the post!
Happened to me this morning at 4:00am...eastern time, MMC. And the navigation is slow. Can't imagine lots of action that early.
Well don't forget Hillary has Brock and crew, plus her supporters. Doing what they can to affect any negative news out on her. Brock knows about the political sites. So I wouldn't put it past the leftness to be putting out malware viruses or worse. - - - Updated - - - It was definitely bad yesterday. I just called it a day and figured I would try back today.
And the Russians haven't stopped laughing long enough to reply Really, if it truly irritates you send a few bucks along so they can buy a better server (that way I won't feel so bad about not giving any )
