Not sure our friend is bigoted, so much as entirely unprepared to have his 'Progressive' type ideology challenged by people who've thought about this a lot more than he apparently has. It's also possible he's one of these peeps who only ever mixes with fellow travellers, and so isn't even aware that the kids have moved on from Wokism and it's partner in crime - Fake Socialism.

There are plenty of people who are very happy to have others fund them .. and carry zero guilt about it. Sometimes even those who consider themselves 'socialists' will happily live off the labour of others - can you imagine that? After all, socialism is the LEAST tolerant of free lunches, because free lunches are entirely contrary to the mutual obligation central to collectivism.

This isn't socialism though the flattering name would be capitalistic symbiosis, they need capitalism to make the money that they use the problem is symbiosis says a benefit to both organisms this is a benefit to one and a detriment to the other so it's capitalistic parasitism.

I think of them as raging capitalists. They're the most dependent on the fat of the land, and so they make themselves handmaidens to capitalism very willingly.

Even my kind of socialism (Nearing model small holder collective) would explode their heads within a week, and it's vastly less onerous than State Socialism.
