I believe Presidential races come down to a relatively simple idea or image that resonates with non-committed voters. We have seen dozens of instances of this in the past. LBJ swung non-committed voter with the television ad of a little girl in a field of daisies. George Bush used images of Michael Dukakis in the tank which screamed "I'm a dork!" What do you think this elections simple images or ideas are going to be?

We have already seen the Hillary campaign trying, with more than a little success, to marginalize Trump as a racist. It really doesn't matter if Trump is a racist or not. Brand him, if it sticks then Hillary is president. At the very least, Trump has to spend time and resources fighting that accusation which could be spent more productively. There is an old political axiom; "If you are explaining, you are losing." The Hillary strategy seems to be to get uncommitted voters to say, "I don't care if she is corrupt, I am not voting for a bigot." Is this a winning strategy, and if not, is there a better attack on Trump?

Trump has tried to paint Hillary as being corrupt, but it isn't like America really cares. Trump also used lyin' Ted to such an extent that it will be a worn out meme if he brings that out against Hillary. I would suggest that Trump could try to paint Hillary as the tedious candidate. This will play into the vacuous majority of uncommitted voters who will not want to listen to Hillary for four years. The tedious label will also be reinforced every single time someone hears Hillary talk. is this the simple image Trump should use on Hillary? if not, is there a better one? Possibly her health?

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the simple images or ideas that either candidate may have success with.

Trump is becoming known as a rich bully that will attack anyone that he even thinks looks at him wrong

That may be true, but is that something that can be distilled to a single idea or a single image? Bully Trump perhaps? Will that resonate? You may very well be onto something.

Donald Trump is keeping some dirty little secrets in his tax returns.

Shifting the tax burden to the blue collar workers who support him, pay-to-play donations to politicians, links to Russia that explain why he is so friendly towards Putin, lying about how rich he is - there is huge potential.

So there is your catch line. Dirty Donald and his dirty little secrets.

I think his "Crooked Hillary" name has had a huge effect. I don't think there is any evidence it is correct, which makes it all the more impressive that it has worked.

Anyone who mocks a disabled person in my opinion has reached into one's own lifeless, soulless, abyss. There just simply is nothing that can fix that. And for those who sing to the same chorus as Trump, you all were made for each other. Enjoy this hell hole of a bottomless pit together.

There was a video just released of Hillary mocking the disabled. Would this alter your opinion you just expressed?

No, it wouldn't alter my opinion of Trump one bit.

Actually, the video did exactly the opposite. It sent the message that Forrest Gump was actually the smart one, and that lots of folks in Washington weren't.

Exactly. I don't advocate it but I do know it is effective.

I feel the same way about Hillary calling a heck of a lot of Americans deplorable and irredeemable. Simply because they won't be voting for her.

Not voting for her is not the reason they are deplorable.

The KKK supports Trump because his views align with theirs. I guess that's part of half of Trumps supporters who are deplorable. Then you have all the anti-Hispanics who support Trump for his views. Then the anti-Muslim people. That's some more of the deplorable. I think you could find 20 million people in the US when you start adding then up.

The KKK, as bad as they are, have the right to support Trump or whoever they choose. Same as the racists on the left have the right to support Hillary.

The right isn't anti Hispanic. It's anti illegal immigration by any person. But you know that.

The right isn't anti Muslim. Just anti radical terrorists. But you know that, too.

You're just spreading the hate and fear mongering of the left trying to divide this country more than it is.

But since you went there, could we not say the left is full of anti white, anti conservatives, anti Christians, and so forth.
How many of them do you think there are? Are they deplorable also?

Well the Communist Party enthusiastically endorsed Hillary Clinton and certainly they are deplorable . . . leftists. What's their murder count up to now as a world wide movement, 100 million or so?

Hillary is "Broken." Her health is broken, her morals are broken, her ideas are also broken.

    Also: Unrepairable, hopeless and ruined.

Branding Trump as a racist only helps Trump, especially now that Hillary has branded anybody who doesn't support her as a racist and deplorable person. Crooked Hillary was the right label. Trump's problem is he keeps shooting himself in the foot saying stupid crap like he knows more about ISIS than the generals. Hillary's problem is that she is playing his game instead of talking about free college and all her other policy proposals.
