Not even going to mention the candidate's name. But I voted at a local public elementary school, and there were signs endorsing one of the two major presidential candidates set up just outside the school entrance. How is it legal to have signs endorsing a particular party or candidate set up at a public polling place?

Under the Constitution authority over presidential elections is reserved to the several states, so I believe that would be a question for your Secretary of State.

I don't know which state you're in, but over here, we have signs at every voting place -- public or private. The signs are for multiple parties and candidates.

Depends on where you live I guess. For me, no signs closer than a hundred feet. Apparently someone put a giant Obama sign, hanging from the trees. Yea, living in NY.

There were only signs for 1 of the candidates.

Depends on state. I believe most states have a certain number of feet away from the entrance that signs must be kept. I know that I have never voted without a bunch of signs. I believe the law in NH is that the signs must be manned, because they have people holding signs for both parties about 50 ft away from the entrance.

They can't be closer than 30 feet to the entrance here.

    Check out your states laws.

No campaigning within 100 ft of the polling place in California.

Did you ask anyone? That is what I would do.
