Who’s ashamed of the idea of men and women? Nobody is.

I've often wondered about that myself. Why don't we think men and women can compete in the same sports if they're about the same size?

It's in the OP - muscle mass, heart size, lung size, fast twitch muscle etc..

Why should being a gifted athlete entitle anyone to a free ride through college? It shouldn't have a big effect on anyone currently on scholarships. And aren't the trans athletes also gifted?

I guess one athletic "gift" is being male then, some sports aside.

The reason I’ve figured is it’s not really about weight sizes, but about proving misogynists wrong. How do you prove that women are physically capable of participating in politics? By having women compete in sports.

Feminists had this term in the 1980's, "penis envy." Like many things they now deny using that
term. But I wonder if there's more to the term - you see women with short cropped hair, tattoos,
smoking, drinking, drugs, jeans, boots, singlets, bad language etc.. It's as if they are imitating
the worse of men. In 1900 some women spoke of being like 'gentlemen.'
And you don't see many mainstream men in stilettos, skirts and make up.
It's as if some women are ashamed of being women.

Yeah. Radical feminism went out of fashion by like the 1990s over that very issue. Though I wonder how much of it was just a copt out. Since then feminism has evolved to take that into consideration, more rationally LGBT. LGBT people directly challenge radical feminism. For example by having trans people insist they are the gender they say they are. Radical feminism can’t explain that. Ever hear the word TERF? That’s what it’s referring to.

I think a law could be passed to protect sports, as long as it also protected lgbtq rights, if the law was one that tried to promote discrimination, it would never pass

can we get Congress to do this, I don't know

Of course. I thought you had particular concern for women who are on scholarships now.

Being male is an advantage in most sports. So is being tall, but that doesn't mean that the sport is unfair to short guys.

Why is it better for a biological female to get the scholarship than a biological male?

Mostly just back of the pack XYs, really. If they were superbly gifted, they would compete with the XYs.

As for scholarships, some young ladies pour their heart and souls into a sport that they love - hours of training and devotion and sacrifice. Then some XY with natural physical advantages over XXs decides to compete against the young lady - and whips her butt handily. Now the colleges are in a quandry... they want to have competitive XX sports teams, but to do that, they have to give scholarships to XYs. I feel sorry for the XXs who will be displaced from college sports. Sad indeed.

I suppose we are to the point where any separation of sports by gender should be deemed discriminatory. No men's only leagues, no women's only leagues, just one league for all. Let the most gifted athletes take the prizes, regardless of their chromosomal make-up.

Really? Do athletes have all those things measured before they're allowed to compete with each other? I always thought the reason we don't see women on pro football teams is the same reason we don't see people like me on pro football teams. They're not big enough or strong enough or fast enough to play the game to the level that's called for, but there are undoubtedly women who could. This is a field ripe for civil rights lawyers and I wonder where they are.

Not taking sides in this particular point. But I suppose the body mass, twitch whatever
is more pronounced for the male sex as a whole. I think the article pointed out there were
300 men in America who outrun the fastest American woman athlete.
I just don't think saying a female is a woman, or a mother etc ought to be a civil rights issue.

They should be able to compete in boys sports. After all they are boys.

My bad, I shouldn't have snapped. Wayyyy too much to drink last night.

Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist or TERF for short. It refers to feminists who don't accept trans people.

You don't or shouldn't have to go into details down to the molecular level of the differences between males and females. It is self evident that this ruling is categorically insane. It is like putting a bull in a china shop for the want of a corral. Metaphorically, the left is essentially dead. It's progress has ceased, but for its own consumption and disintegration, observably evident in its stink as opposed to fragrance. They have abandoned the wholesome dance of faith upon the earth to heavens measure and appeal. And burst to the heights while digging down to glory, like the jaws of hell presuming to gobble perception in one mighty bite...to by rule, destroy all that which is good in the fair and endless city. They are conquered, and yet they live. And God abides. We are blessed to see and acknowledge, though lament the gulf between us and them. My friend of the Blackfoot tribe would smile and say, You have seen a thing. Then may my vision find rest in the good heart, as a keepsake to brotherhood and a solace behind the tear. All is not lost. There is just more to do.

Ridiculous thoughts. Does anyone believe that the NFL is purposely keeping women out? On the contrary, if there was a female who was massively talented and could legitimately compete against the NFL's best, the woke NFL would be trampling all over themselves to get her on a team ASAP.

Depends on what happens next. It is possible that if this becomes a problem, we will see more league sports unattached to colleges, public schools, NCAA, etc where they have more control over who can or cannot participate.

Well, they are naturally gifted enough to have an advantage over XXs.

Most people can pour their heart and soul into a sport without ever having a shot at a scholarship.

There should be the same number of students overall getting into sports teams.

    Fine by me.
