It should never be illegal to give another human being a drink of water.

    Because it's a feature, not a bug.

So vote buying at the polling station is just fine with you?

It doesn't matter who they are voting for. They are making it more difficult for certain voters.

So suppressing voters by making the process more difficult is just fine with you?

I understand your implications and I think there is a duty for states to make it easier to vote in the traditional way. My state does not have that problem. What I fail to see is that these implications always say it makes it harder to minorities to vote when in fact it makes it more difficult for EVERYONE regardless of racial status. Does it just mean that minorities aren't as determined to vote? Does it mean they are less likely to have their votes paid for? I don't get it. Apparently 2020 had a record turnout in spite of your implications.

Sorry, only Democrats segregate. Black voters can go to white polls and visa versa. It's not like drinking fountains in the 60's. We can register at any precinct. You fail.

If voters are suppressed, it is done equally.

You could change voting precincts or request a mail in.

What state are you in? I've never had a choice of voting precincts. It's always been based on home address.

You know you are going to be in line for an hour or more. Is it really that hard to bring a bottle of water along with you?

Yep. Maybe if you make the neighborhoods safer you'll get more volunteers to work the polling station and again electors aren't voters...

Same here. I'm 36 and I have never seen anyone need a bottle of water to vote and if they did they can bring 1 themselves.

Some people were in unexpected lines of up to five hours. Volunteers weren't planning to bring water; it was due to the long unexpected wait while it was 88 degrees in the shade. Most people were in the sun. Simple act of good Samaritans who saw a need.

Yeah guys handing out free food and drink while wearing tee shirts with their preferred candidate printed on them. Sounds like vote buying to me.

There is always some "reason" to justify discrimination. Not surprising. Pathetic, but not surprising.

There were, according to Democrats, unprecedented numbers of voters in 2020. And no one predicted that. So of course a lot of polling stations were overcrowded if not overwhelmed. No one rational should expect otherwise.

Wow. I didn't know that when I accepted a gift of water from someone, that it obligated me to support their favorite cause.

    Interesting. Thanks for sharing that.

No one is justifying discrimination, what is disgusting is your implication That the words 'only applies to black people' appear in the law when they quite clearly do not. Poll workers are almost all old retired people, guess what covid killed a lot of and kept still more trapped in their house for the last year...
And let's not forget far larger your out than normal complicated the issue still further.
But go right ahead ignore facts and keep throwing out the race card like anyone not a woke leftist gives a damn anymore.

Next year's headlines - "Son brings water to coughing mother waiting in line to vote - is shot by Republican poll watcher."

"Wife thrown in prison for giving husband mint while waiting in line to vote".

And Republicans think it's the Democrats who are control freaks ... both parties have lost their minds.

It doesn't, but doing so predisposed people to think more favorably toward that candidate. Frankly instead if voting on the second Tuesday let's make it the second Saturday. The main reason for crowding most years is that working folk tend to show up around noon or after five and before 8am.

That's funny. So a bottle of water is "vote buying" now? The lengths you go to are incredible.

You look at everything in terms of "race". Try to look at it in terms we are all Americans.
