    Ruger supported the 2012 (failed) assault weapons ban, and their Mini-14 line of semi-automatic rifles were (as you noted) missing from the otherwise comprehensive ban of semi-automatic rifles.

    Its clear that Ruger was happy to undermine the fabric of our constitutional rights so they could corner the civilian market on semi-auto rifles by making the competition illegal.

    And yes, the 10-22 and the mini-14 are both excellent rifles. But I don't care if Ruger has a clearance sale on em, Ill only buy Rugers second-hand. They get 0 of my money.

    That is an understatement. Malcontents with an agenda come in and push their agenda while immigrants are setting themselves on fire in Australian detention "cages" in their own country, or the terrible environmental crisis created over recycling.
    On a lighter note, I have found the "round file" to be an exceptional solution.

    Of course, but anything that can be done to prevent the sale in the first place is a good thing and lying on that form is a felony.
    With respect to your personal thoughts on your sore nuts and the 2016 election, if you thought anyone but Trump or Clinton were going to elected in 2016, you live in a different world than the other 99.99% of voting Americans and I wish you well in your dreamworld.

    Well, good luck with the congress we have until Jan 2021. I am a Range Safety Officer, long time handgun instructor, and a realist, but I will guarantee you, changes are coming and you better get in the face of your particular states gun advocates and expect to be frustrated. We are fighting with a crippled NRA that has committed suicide by LaPierre, and Michael Bloomberg's $55 Billion dollar bank account. If you think we are going to Braveheart our way through this mess, you are dreaming.

    Bill Ruger died in 2002. Ruger was on board with banning all semi-auto rifles except their own as of 2012. Bill Ruger had nothing to do with it.

    Its of course possible that Ruger has changed their position since 2012, but they have a lot more trust to earn back from me before they get any of my money.
