Did any of the other networks include this in their coverage?
If so, I have not seen it. Anyone?
If not -- anyone wonder why?
Waters -is- a black, apparently pro-gun Republican, so...

    Additionally:
How do you constitutionally prevent someone who can legally own a firearm from doing so?

Maybe, just maybe, the guns aren’t the real problem, we as Americans are the problem. Because in addition to the violent racism displayed in this situation, our country just has an addiction to shooting people.

Well then... the only rational solution is to ban Americans.

It wasn't like this a few generations ago.

One nut-job got a gun and shot three people he didn't like. That's it. I feel for the three and their families. The shooter took his own life -- that was good. But the shooting doesn't mean we are a violent country. It doesn't mean we are a racist country. It doesn't mean guns are bad. It doesn't mean we need to ban high capacity magazines. It doesn't mean we need to close Dollar General stores. It damn sure doesn't mean we need to raise taxes. But some will turn this shooting into anything that fits their liberal narrative.

They actually understood the amendment and the NRA at that time was for gun control.

You confuse "calling out" with saying irrelevancies.

Therefore we need sensible gun control legislation to keep a wicked person from grabbing ahold of that handgun... Or, at least, making it as hard as possible.

    Simple as that....

It makes absolutely ZERO difference if anybody believes the gun is "wicked" or not.

So Americans are inherently evil people. Got it. Thanks for the insight. Why do you libs want immigrants to come to this horrible country full of horrible people again? Oh that’s when people like you switch gears and go full patriot mode on us.

spare us your hypocrisy layered in anti American bigotry

The vast and overwhelming majority of people never shoot anyone.

Reality and your post do not mesh together very well.

Although there is a certain racial dermographic that pulls the trigger far more than any others

FaUX news is covering a pro gun narrative ?
    I am SHOCKED !

Just be sure to check the facts of their story, they have a reputation for deliberately publishing false stories.

I wonder if the “wicked people” in the story include those who arm criminals using the gun show loophole and straw man purchases.

I really question how he could have owned a gun legally.

‘Racially Motivated’ Gunman Once Held Involuntarily Under Florida Law

The suspect in a racially motivated shooting in Jacksonville, Florida over the weekend bought at least two of his guns legally—even after being involuntary held in a mental health facility in 2017, authorities said Sunday.

An involuntary commitment should have been in NICS which should have stopped the gun purchase at the point of sale.

And yet our country has had an enormous mass shooting problem and has had this problem for years, and nothing has been done about it. The vast majority also never get involved in mass shootings or terrorist attacks, and no one ever thinks it’ll happen to them until it does.

It has to be said, but we’re just experts at shooting rampages and killing people and the Jacksonville shooting is just more proof of that.

    Well,no.
If something is actually done about then, Democrats will have fewer bodies to stand on as a means to further their agenda.

We are a violent country though. Just look- everywhere that people don't carry guns, there is random violence. The average person is still peaceful, but we also have a higher than average percentage of people who will choose violence when they think they can get away with it. The solution is to make them think they can't, which is why they stick to areas where people don't carry guns.

To reduce gun violence, or most violence, we need to severely punish the criminals rather than treat them like celebrities. The punishment has to be so swift and severe other potential criminals are fearful of the same punishment. There is no better motivator/deterrent than fear.

True - we didn't see this kind of mass violence a few generations ago. But we are now. So we need to find solutions. Real solutions. I've given up on wanting gun control so what is the solution? The REAL solution that will put an end to these kinds of shootings?

Sincere question - what criminals are being treated like celebrities? I agree with your proposal, I just don't know who or what you mean in your first sentence.
