How does this not concern folks about is moral compass and his ability to be speaker?

 

Gross. As to the question in the OP, I don't think many know about his connection(voter wise). One thing both democrats and republicans don't do a good job with is outing sexual assaulters or those complicit in cover ups. Seems to be a "good old boy" network among politicians to let that kind of stuff happen. Disgusting stuff.

 

To say Jordan mishandled all those incidents, would be the understatement of the century.

I believe and wish that Jordan will be elected speaker.

His election can only help moderates and liberals.

In 16 years in Congress, Jordan has not introduced a single bill.

He is the very embodiment of the systematic blocking and infighting that conservatives have engaged in since the creation of the Tea Party.

Well .. you have more faith in GOP elected official then I do. I hope there are at least 5 GOP elected officials who will vote against him, but lets see.

 

Mccarthy didn’t ask DEMS to save him. Some one from GOP leadership ask DEMS to support McCarthy , but when DEMS said ‘lets talk and change some rules” , GOP replied back “ It’s too late to negotiate, just vote for McCarthy”. Mccarthy didn’t want to give anything to DEMS, but expected their vote.

He has. But his responses don't ring out as innocence. There are wrestlers who say Jordan knew. That they told him directly. So it is he said/he said. I guess its up to individuals to decide for themselves.

No. The external investigation paid for by the University alluded to in the article concluded the abuse was an open secret that the University and its athletic staff (Jim Jordan among them)turned a blind eye to and a multimillion dollar settlement agreement was reached.

However, this year the Supreme Court ruled additional victims could sue the University for damages. Jordan has evaded being deposed to date but that likely will come to and end. Many athletes are saying he’s playing word games in his denials.

 

Right now the “republican” conference is a clown car. The infighting in that very conference has just started. Its going to get a lot worse for the right as they try to excise Trumpism from the party. They are splitting the party by the real republican dogma, and the radical Trumpism that proliferated the party since 2016.

Hell, they cant even elect a speaker of the house with a majority in that very house. The party is splintered, and I don’t see anyone in the party who can unite them anytime in the near further. Trumpism is a cancer for the true republicans, and its getting very public. This isn't your fathers Republican Party, and the radicals are will but it to the ground because…Trump. I have my marshmallows ready for the firestorm thats about to hit

 

Never said that he did ask or that they were giving any incentive to do so. Dems just don't see the big picture and if Jordan does eventually get the votes, it will be a disaster for the country. Dems could have stopped it. Not blaming them, but it is the reality. Winning the battle while losing the war
