    I just registered so I can stay informed about current events, politics, etc, from varying perspectives. I am mostly interested in political and economic categories, since that is more my expertise and background. Looking forward to reading and posting.

    Just make sure to keep in mind that 90% of posters on this forum are partisan hacks. This particular forum happens to have more right-wing hacks than left-wing hacks, but that's a relatively minor detail.
