He delegated here to head the federal effort of which the CBP is a key part. She has refused to take ownership and show ANY leadership. Her "root cause" is a dodge. Are we really going to wait until she solves the economic problems of Central and South America before we secure the borders, because that is her plan right now.

SHE was put in charge of the crisis at the border and she refuses to go. A competent and able leader would have been all over it and not laughing about it as they shirked their responsibility.

Maybe she could talk to some people that live along the border to understand what they experience. Maybe she could talk to some border patrol agents and see what the people in the field think vs. the DHS talking heads back in DC. Maybe she should just do what used to be called "showing the flag" which translates to a commitment to do something aka signals giving a sheet. You act like Biden didn't assign her to solve the border problem. Which of course he did.

And maybe "other functionality" as well besides cackling.

 

Why do you have to physically visit a place to implement good policies for that place? Can't you just have people to provide you with the information you need or show you some videos?
