We're on the same page on this one.

On a side note, the pulled pork cheese fries from Wendys looks good.

Mitchell Mortaza, league commissioner, whom LFL players say has told them, “No one is here to watch you play football.”

This is one of the fastest growing sports leagues in America right now...clearly someone is making bank. Regarding the LFL, given their business model that treats their "employees" like literal objects with no pay and minimal incentive to stick around for the long haul. I envision this league will eventually join the scrap heap of other attempts to market women's professional sports leagues. Women are rarely given due consideration as serious athletes...there's always the caveat, "yeah but are they hot?"

These women play an incredibly dangerous sport with, apparently, no insurance or healthcare. The equipment and gear is designed primarily to show off their faces, cleavage and butts; perhaps their secondary purpose is to actually protect them.

Yes, they volunteer to subject themselves to this exploitation, but an ethical business model...someone who genuinely appreciates sports and in particular the dedication these athletes devote to their sport.... can quickly ascertain, these gals deserve better.

At least pay them an honest day's wage for an honest day's work in exchange for taking their dignity to sell an $8.00 beer to some schlub in the stands holding the sign "we want a wardrobe malfunction."

did your employer at Wendy's tell you to wear makeup, to get a spray tan, to wear a bikini while flipping those burgers....

I don't know whether you have kids or not, but imagine you have a daughter...for a moment. She gets a "job," that involves no paycheck, having to perform this job in her underwear, having to meet aesthetic standards to perform this no pay job and this job involves putting her health at risk with yes...no healthcare coverage should she actually get hurt.

I'm guessing you'd tell her to quit and give this company a piece of your mind.

That's bascially what I'm doing. I have no connection to the LFL other than St. Louis was supposed to get a team and yes...I attended a game in Chicago. So sue me. I actually saw a Lingerie football game in person. It's now called Legends.

Anywho, the St. Louis team folded before ever playing a game, no arena would host their games.

One thing I was impressed with was that this was not flag football as I originally thought, these gals actually tackle one another and the hits are real, the risk is real.

I thought like all of you did, they know exactly what they are doing, they are wearing the underwear and getting paid decent money and they probably enjoy being sexual objects to schlubs like me who sit in stands and can only dream about gals like this.

The truth of the matter is, the more I researched this "League" the more I believed these gals were the one's getting exploited, not the schlubs like me in the stands ogling the gals.

Yes, I felt sorry for them and as a coach of amateur sports, I could plainly see player safety was a secondary issue to appearing as sexualized as possible.

From the point of view of the ladies playing the game, I truly believe they are there because they like hitting, they like the physicality and they like tackle football. They are willing to put up with the other b.s. like the makeup, spray tans and minimal clothing in order to play a sport they like in the glitzy televised LFL.

Just because someone is willing to shovel manure doesn't mean you can't provide a safe environment for them to shovel the manure and to pay them a fair wage...and oh if they get hurt shoveling the manure, offer them healthcare while on the job.

These gals get none of that, and yes they deserve much better. I saw in person, these are athletes, they don't take it easy on the physicality. Someone could get really hurt out there.

they made me groom a certain way, wear a specific uniform I hated. I knew what the uniform policy was when I accepted the job, so while I may not have enjoyed it... I could choose to abide by it, or look for another job where I didn't have to wear such a silly uniform.

I'm an independant contractor through refferreing, so that job is applicable.... I have no health insurance through reffing.... I have health insurance through my real job. But if I was trying to live off of reffing, like these girls are trying to live off lfl... that's a personal choice and personal choices NOT to get health care is not the LFL, or my ref job's responsibility.

My ex wife got a crap job one time as a cell phone seller.... let me tell you the bullspit that they do one day in a PM if you really want to know. They wouldn't pay, had no insurance, etc. I hated it as a spouse but I couldn't convince her to find a job that actually paid (because I made the money she could spend.)

So while I am not disagreeing that the LFL job is crap, just like my ex-wife.... it was a self-inflicted wound that she could have left at any point in time to get a job that does pay. You know why the LFL pays the way they do? because someone is willing to accept that pay for their services.

My wife had no other skillsets to offer, so she was stuck getting screwed over, (and screwed by) the cell phone bossman.

I did, but she made the choice to stay.

to top it off, my brother's younger wife ended up repeating the same mistake my ex wife did. We tried to tell her, but she wouldn't listen.

again, all the rest of this is by choice. I've been hurt reffing.... and my real job insurance paid for it. I have a backup plan. Just because a person doesn't have a back up plan, does not obligate the job to provide it for them.

Obviously, YOU have never witnessed an LFL game.
The athletes are often recruited from Aussie and Canadian Women's Rugby and Football teams.

How about some criticism from those who have witnessed a game.
It moves much faster than NFL football. The ladies' stamina is admirable.

    LFL is not Powderpuff Football.
To believe it is could result in injury should you be invited to play a few minutes with them.

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

I haven't watched an entire LFL game because I've seen a several highlight reels of it and determined it's not worth my time.

And FYI, were I to play against these women in a football setting I would end up looking like the love child of Jim Brown and Lawrence Taylor. If our local high school football team played a LFL team, our HS team would beat them by 100 points.

male athletes sell their naked bodies as well:

I could post more explicit photos but they would likely get censored (frankly, I wouldn't blame the mods if they did)

I believe the Ladies wear "skin suits" of some sort.
Look closely. No bruises or scrapes evident.
I would like to know how the breast protection works.
Lots and lots of breast bruises would create a twisted appearance in the long run.
