I know what is an ad hominem attack and also why they are a logically flawed method of argument.

Even if Mr. Branson acted in the most environmentally unfriendly method possible, his actions would have zero impact on the merits of his argument.

I believe the point was that the "DEATH BY CLIMATE" movement is led by people that live in mansions and fly around in private jets. People like Al Gore consume 100 times the resources that the rest of us do. If the leaders of a movement do not follow their own rules, you should start looking for another motive - like money and power. Have you ever noticed that Socialist countries are never run by Socialists?

If you put more water into a bathtub, what happens to the bathtub? Right. It fills up. So, let's just keep dumping water into the ocean. It will keep getting fuller and fuller, no? And eventually, oceans will raise, and will reclaim territory.

Guess that doesn't add up to you science deniers though.

Any climate change cultist posting on a forum is ignoring the future to their own claims for their own selfish needs.

Of course I'll be okay. I have my Al Gore-approved Global Warming Defense Shelter.

There is point anymore. The climate change "experts" gave a final deadline point of no return and that date has already past. Therefore, this is a dead issue since the deadline has come and gone.

So you are another person who claims that what China, India and other countries do doesn't affect the climate because you believe they are on another planet? There are always winners and losers along the way.

Only fools believe humans can stop the billions year history of the earth's climate continuously changing - or were dinosaurs massive scale industrialists?

You know what happens to the water level in a glass with ice when the ice melts? Nothing.

Larsen.. Yes, I was telling someone about it and couldn't remember. I said Louise or something like that. I wonder if it will float on currents and where it will go.

He DOES act in the most hypocritical manner conceivable. But you miss the point entirely, of course.
It isn't JUST Branson who is the hypocrite. It is ALSO:

    Barack Obama
    Al Gore
    "academics" everywhere
    Global Warming hypocrites everywhere
    Leftists everywhere

To pretend that we all have to do something now while continuing to burn and churn yourselves is the utmost dishonesty.
    So what's new.

The world's poor don't give a **** about your climate change pretensions, and they will continue burning coal, and wood, and cattle dung and crude oil in hopes of achieving some measure of comfort and decent life. All the efforts done by Americans will pale in significance, but it will make you feel so VERY important and wise. And really, what else matters......

Yes, yes. I know. You only need one out of context (and improper btw) quote to justify your ignorance of the collective opinion of 97% of the relevant experts in the field and fundamental physics.

I didn't miss anything. You can just as easily replace the words "Richard Bransen" with whatever or whomever you like and the point will remain.

Accusations of hypocrisy are ad hominem attacks and they are logically flawed because they do nothing to address the merits of the argument.

The world's poor give a great deal of a **** about climate change. That's why 196 countries signed onto the Paris Accord and one of the two who refused did so because the Paris accord did not do enough to stop climate change. Americans, on the average, pollute more than just about any other person on the planet. We are also the most powerful and influential (at least until the last 4 months) country on the planet and so our actions also influence everyone else. So yes, our decisions and efforts matter a great deal.

Shows what you know. Ocean currents have never been consistent and are known to vary over periodic rates.

I find it funny that people think it is unusual for water to rise during and warm interglacial period.

They still follow a basic pattern because of the cold artic and antarctic and the warmer equator. The more you equalize those temperatures (because of the melting arctic regions), the less that pattern will hold.

A Nobel laureate in physics, among many others, resigned from the International Physical Society over their insistence on maintaining the fraudulent climate change narrative. Don't you even know that? How sad. Talk about "ignorance," you're the poster child for it. The word is "arctic," not "artic."

So now you're using a quote from 2011 as a justification for ignoring all other evidence? Listen man, you are not going to convince me to ignore the collective conclusions of 97% of the relevant experts on this topic by making some hyper partisan allegation of fraud or hypocrisy.

If you want me to change my opinion, you need to start by addressing the fundamental physics of the issue. Explain to me why Carbon Dioxide is not a greenhouse gas or why increasing the amount of a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere will lead to higher temperatures. Address why we can not use the differences in the isotope measurements of the CO2 in the atmosphere compared to the isotopes in the ice core as a reason to explain why we are the cause of the current rise in CO2 concentration. Explain why CO2 concentrations rising at a rate of roughly 50-100x the natural rate is something about which we shouldn't be concerned.
