My idea of leaving California is to stay where I am and have the border of Greater Idaho move west and south to include certain counties in Washington, Oregon, and far Northern California. California does truly suck, but where I live is simply awesome!
with 39 million people in this state, I welcome those who want to leave. Go! We got too many to begin with.
Just don't come to Florida because you won't like it here..... From the hostile natives to the frequent hurricanes, from the hordes of mosquitoes and deer flies and no see-ums... To the forest fires and the frequent rains.... Just stay the hell away because you won't like it here. ( The above only applies to people who move here and vote Democrat.... If you don't like the policies that you're fleeing from then why the hell would you move here and vote for the same crap? )
If all your taxpayers leave and are replaced by low education, low skilled illegal immigrants and homeless drug abusers will you care?
I don't worry about it because it's fantasy. Sure, they will always be illegals and homeless, but they will never 'replace us'. Getting replaced is what white supremacists worry about. Sure, in the 400 square miles of Los Angeles Country, , there is about one half of a square mile worth of homeless concentrated downtown. Oh, sure, righties will take photos of this and make people beleive it's all of California, which is kinda like taking a photo of a thoroughbred horse's anus and telling everyone what the horse looks like by only showing a photo of it's anus. Repubs are so disingenuous. so, okay, I don't go to skid row and hang out. Where I live is frickin' beautiful, a town called San Diego. In SD, skid row is just a few blocks on Imperial, and a park in Chula Vista ( which recently closed) so I don't hang around those places.
Laugh of the day And that's just the first page And the tax base leaving is getting so bad y'all are trying to tax people for moving out.............
I lived in San Diego and currently still live in the county. Agree our area, the weather especially, is one of the most beautiful in the nation but don't kid yourself, homelessness is a real problem. What We Learned About San Diego's Surge in Homelessness | Voice of San Diego
If I were homeless, would I rather live in Texas or the where there are floods, mosquitoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, or the northern states where there is snow, or southern California, where the weather is always nice? I'd take CA any day of the week. California is a victim of it's desirability. More people live here than in any other state. There is more of everything, more rich, more poor, but Big cities, and tons of beauty, a coastline to die for, and many beautiful parks, etc. I had a friend move to Texas, after 10 years, she tells me she misses California. Years ago, I moved to Miami, which is nice, but, the mosquitoes, and once I moved to NYC, which was interesting, but after a spell, I was happy to move back to SoCal.
There have always been homeless people since the dawn of time. Some people just can't cope, and they descend into despair, it's a fact of life.
Of course, but that wasn't my point. My point was to counter your notion that SD doesn't have much homelessness.
That's funny, I don't recall saying that SD doesn't have much homeless. You want to quote me on that one? Oh, I did say that most of the homeless can be found on Imperial BLVD in SD in a several block section and in a few parks and the occasional street corner pitching for some change, and in L.A. maybe a one mile radius in DownTown skid Row, which, compared to 400 square miles of L.A, isn't that much, but of course, republicans will smear photos of that area, disingenuously giving the impression that their are homeless tents in every block on LA and San Diego, yeah, they will do that, it's kinda like that if they took a photo of a thoroughbred, they'd take a picture of it's anus, and show the world that, but never the full picture of the beautiful thoroughbred state that California is, and the fact that this is maybe why 39,000,000 people choose to live here, far more than any other state? NO, they will never look at the glass half full, with repubs, it's always half empty. However, I will say all the big cities have homeless populations, where else are they going to live, in the wheat fields in Kansas where there is no one around to bum a buck off of? and I will also say that it it logical homeless people would prefer to live rent free in the regions where the weather is the best, like Southern California. I will say this, since the imposition of the general trend of america's acceleration of neoliberalism since Reagan, things have been going downhill ever since. The only president who has taken a serious effort to reverse the neoliberal course the nation has taken is Joe Biden. But, naturally, you're never going to see that the glass is half full, with you, it will always be half empty .
Oh yes, let's get political advice from a lazy derelict. Good going. Most homeless are mentally ill, drug addicts, people in despair. Your example is just an A hole who wants to abuse the system. There will ALWAYS be people who will abuse ANY system no matter WHAT that system is. But, leave it to a republican to be disingenuous. I guarantee you that if those services were not available to him, he'd find some other excuse and way to sit on his ass and mooch off others. IF he couldn't be a lazy mooch, He'd be committing crimes because that's what lazy people do who can't mooch. So, at least those 'services' prevent him from being a criminal. Laughing out ****ing loud.
Yes, a bunch of articles on the SAME story. 39,000,000 choose to live in CA, more than any other state. You get what you pay for. Leave it to the right to be disingenuous. Laughing out loud.
It's fun, yet also somehow depressing, to list cities in California with greater populations than some states that each get 2 senators. Worse, cities with greater populations than the 10 least populated states combined represented by 20 senators.
Only citing the facts More recently, population change from July 2020 to July 2021 shows: Among the 17 states where population declined over the year, losses were greatest in New York (-1.58%), Illinois (-0.89%), Hawaii (-0.71%) and California (-0.66%). Losses in these states were driven by people moving away. https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/resear...d population declines,to COVID-19 from others. Rate of homelessness in the U.S. by state 2020 Published by Statista Research Department, Jul 27, 2022 When analyzing the ratio of homelessness to state population, New York, Hawaii, and California had the highest rates in 2020. However, Washington, D.C. had an estimated 90.4 homeless individuals per 10,000 people, which was significantly higher than any of the 50 states. https://www.statista.com/statistics...n analyzing the ratio of,any of the 50 states. It's not political advice it's where's the best place to go to be homeless advice
Sure, it just doesn't represent the PEOPLE. Pity. Try this, there are 5 states that combined have less than 1% of the population yet 10% of the senate. They are also the least educated in the country. This is a system doomed to fail some day.
Why do I feel like you're doling out a reprimand to me? Homelessness is a real problem in major CA. cities and you made light of it in post #11.
