Cubed, we need to flush down the toilet the career of ANY politician, regardless of party, who is willing to tell falsehoods.

 

Oh believe me, I would be in great favor of making it illegal to lie if your in a place of power/trust (politicians, news organizations for example). But until we can just reboot the whole system, and find some way to keep people truly honest, then we have to take what we have and work with it.

To this day harvard still lists one faculty member as being American indian, they wont say it's her...but they dont have to. It was her before, and they arent saying it's not her now...so shes still abusing it.

 

So what? I have an American Indian GGG grandmother and ancestry on both sides of the Great Removal.

The Cherokee Nation was a relatively prosperous area in Georgia and NC made up of farms .. with barns and smoke houses, fences, lifestock, chicken coops and many mixed marriage families.

Gold fever prompted the removal and breaking their sovereignty.. The Supreme Court upheld their rights, Andrew Jackson said "light a fire under them.. they'll leave".. Jackson is the ONLY US pres to ever defy the Supreme Court.

Whites moved in and simply took over the existing farms..

The betrayal was especially vicious because the Indians had fought valiantly alongside Jackson a decade earlier.

But all YOU can yap about is "rape".

All of this fluff about how many of us have ancestors on both sides has nothing to do with her making false claims. You say you arent defending her, yet you keep trying to lay down smokescreens of unrelated arguments.

She has claimed to be a minority to gain benefits of the status. geneologists have looked into her claims, and cannot find anything to confirm it.

Again, this has nothing to do with anyone elses ancestry..its about her false claims.

most geneology site say that many families have stories they are of native indian decent but most or just stories passed on and cannot be proven , my family also had the indian princess thing but indians did not honor women with that kinda title very often.

 

She claims to be 1/32nd Cherokee. As posted earlier on this thread 1/16th is the minimum requirement to be considered Cherokee by the Tribe. She had no right to make the claims that she did.

 

No, it's still an issue of dishonesty.

Or is there some other reason you could possibly think of that would make a candidate want to sit on this proof during an election cycle about a story that is hurting her?

Condone WHAT.. trying to prove her ancestry?

She doesn't have to convince us.. she has to convince the Indian councils who vet this stuff.
