The difference this time around is that the incidents at the stadiums with crowds cussing about Trump didn't live on with slogans based on immaturity. Back when Trump was president, those crowds were condemned by Trump supporters as childish and I joined them in their opinion. What a stupid bratty thing to do that changes nothing and makes you and everyone else who opposes Trump look like an asshat by association.

Things can't have changed so much in such a short time that the same behavior that was condemned then is now acceptable enough to not just escape condemnation by those same folks but to live on as a repeated slogan.

Having a sense of humor is important, I agree. But having standards and consistency is important too.
