Marc Short, the former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence, is cooperating with the January 6 committee, a significant development that will give investigators insight from one of the highest-ranking Trump officials, according to three sources with knowledge of the committee's activities.

Short was also in the Oval Office on January 4, when Trump and conservative attorney John Eastman tried to convince Pence to delay the counting of the Electoral College votes.

I've worked elections as a precinct official in Iowa. I know the measures needed to authenticate a vote. Remote balloting and pandemic rules balloting are impossible to authenticate 'cause there isn't in-person voting where an official can examine credentials, etc., to determine the authenticity of a vote.

 

The Electoral College voters can only vote per state election vote totals. EC votes don't reflect a free and clear election if said election isn't free and clear.

Was the 2020 election free and clear? Well, no one knows (because of pandemic voting rules, for example) and the investigation into the 2020 election was obstructed.

 

Unless you have evidence it wasn't free and clear, it was free and clear. And voting remotely has been around for decades. Yes, there are authentication measures, including the fact that the ballot is mailed to directly to the registrant and there is signature verification. Less than a dozen instances of fraud by mail were identified in the election. They were votes for Trump. By relatives.

 

For example, those boxes of ballots which were suspiciously brought up from underneath the table in that Detroit precinct and counted in the ballot totals appeared to be harvested ballots. In the state of Iowa, harvested ballots are illegal since they can't be authenticated.

 

They weren't "suspiciously brought up." The entire thing was filmed and streamed live. 5 minutes of homework would have clarified this. This conspiracy nuttery has been thoroughly debunked.
