Oh, I am more than willing to take the time to build up Biden for you. You should reconsider because Joe Biden is easily one of the most courteous and empathetic individuals serving in public sector - just ask his Republican opponents like Lindsey Graham and John McCain. I can guarantee you that Joe Biden is more liked by Republicans than Donald Trump is liked by Democrats and the notion of reaching across the aisle and to reaching to help your neighbor is a fundamental plank of Joe Biden. If you want to improve the chances that this country can re-unite after being divided along cultural, political, and racial lines, then he is easily your best choice.
One of the reasons why a significant percentage of the youth prefer Biden to Trump is because "old beats lying any day of the week." Joe Biden is objectively more likely to tell you the truth.
You didn't say anything to elaborate on other than the economy and Biden's 'sacrifice'....both of which I elaborated on. So you don't blame trump for the economy and then proceed to hold it against him when it comes to who to vote for? This is spectacularly illogical. Stop with the Biden sacrificing bullshit. Biden is a rich, coddled, career politician. He's sacrificed nothing. Also, if Graham is what you need to resort to, again, you've got nothing. Career politicians are a huge problem in this country. Until the people stop electing them and/or demand term limits, we'll continue having people in DC that have no connection to reality as it pertains to the american voter.
You say Career Politicians are a huge problem...why is having experience in the political field, i.e. the field to which you are electing that person, an inherently bad thing?
FoxHastings said: ↑ It doesn't appear any thought was put into that decision. Maybe if there was some thinking/thought it wouldn't be Trump. My post is confirmed....
~ What did Biden do exactly beside making $$ from China ..? ~ This is the radical leftist thinking today. Useless trying to make any sense of it .
When you are making broad sweeping policy for a few hundred million people who are not politicians, that is the experience you need (at least some of it anyway). When you're elected to serve the public, you at least need to have a clue what the lives are like for the people you are elected to serve.
I should reconsider because RINO's like Joe Biden? lol During the Clinton administration, the Democrats joined the Republicans in globalism and sent our middle-class jobs overseas. For 30 years, neither establishment party has represented or worked for the working- and middle-class. Biden, Graham, and the late McCain are all part of the same decades-old Washington "swamp". Perhaps you'd have better luck persuading the "progressive" left to vote Biden. Trump supporters aren't moving away from a populist President and voting for an establishment "swamp" creature. Democrats have a similar populist movement with similar negative attitudes against the old-guard establishment. Criticism of Biden is just as strong from the left as it is from Trump supporters (who are not traditional Republicans). Running an old-guard, establishment nominee in 2020, a time of change? We'll see how that works out in November.
~ It's no sacrifice to become a millionaire without earning it. You mention absolutely nothing Biden has accomplished other than meaningless awards and accolades. Perhaps you should reconsider .. ?
Very true. The choice is one candidate or the other. I'm only responding to repeated requests to reconsider my choice. Everyone gets to make their own decision between two candidates, each of whom has a lot of negatives against him and a few positives for him. It's 2016 redux. Hold you nose in 2020, vote, and hope that we have some semblance of political reason in 2024 with better candidate selection on both sides. I wouldn't count on it, but 2020 is another stinker.
You bet he would if he thought that he could get away with it. Think about it. What Trump was saying is that he wants to silence journalists. He wants to do away with the 1st amendment or at least have the ability to suppress those of the press that he does not like. Those are any journalists who report the truth. So yes if he could get away with it he would have Barr execute journalists from all networks except Fox and RT- Russian Television.
Wait...RINOs?! Lindsey Graham and John McCain? Come on LSG. That's just absurd. You can not and must not define Republican based solely on their subservience to Donald Trump or their unwillingness to work with the other side. Similarly, it makes absolutely no sense to argue that Trump is somehow championing the working man. His policies have exacerbated the wealth gap, exacerbated the trade gap, and accelerated the movement of jobs overseas. As for this notion of a swamp, again, how can anyone rationally argue that Trump has made any improvements to the notion of corruption in Washington DC. Every political appointee is defined and replaced solely based on their subservience to Trump and his personal political and financial interests. He replaces any and all oversight or neutral political appointee with those who are loyal to him. That is within his authority, but how can that possibly reflect what you WANT from your politician?
Donald Trump literally said today in response to the question of whether he was joking about ordering the tests slowed down, "I don't kid." He was not joking about slowing down testing for a deadly virus that is actively killing more than a hundred thousand Americans in a couple months and you have the nerve to brush off his demand for the execution of journalists as a joke? The man repeatedly and explicitly assaults journalists to their face and you truly don't think he would have them executed if it were within his ability?
That's absurd. Presidents' battle with media is an American tradition....including the 8 year battle between Obama and Fox. Since the left owns 80% of media and the right only has Fox, Trump simply has more targets (and gets targeted far more) than Obama had (and did).
This is not some story about Trump excluding access to members of the press (although he did that multiple times), or insulting specific reporters to their face (although he did that multiple times), or dismissing entire media organizations as biased (although he did that multiple times), or about treating female or minority members of the press differently (although he did that multiple times). This is a story about Trump telling his National Security Advisor that he wished to execute journalists.
Wow. Didn't Trump take credit for the economy from months before he took office until about January? So he just stopped being responsible for it? Wow.
The problem that Trump has is he has to convince people beyond his base that is true and at the moment he has no new rallying cries to do that
You're exhausting. Can you be honest about anything? The virus is a unique circumstance, period. You know this. Stop using this as a VERY dishonest way to bash trump. And I have no clue when he started taking credit for the economy nor do i care.
It's probably going to be a close election. Out of all the Democrat nominee choices, having the DNC put Joe Jim Crow Biden up as the face and leader of the party doesn't seem like the brightest idea. Even Socialist ideologue, Bernie Sanders, would have been a better competitor this year. He is at least coherent and has a solid "outsider" platform which he can explain without faultering.
I tell you what We will stop bashing Trump if he ever gets off his fat lazy arse and actually DOES something to reduce the horrific death rate in America
