LONGTIME MALL SANTA FIRED AFTER WEARING TRUMP 2020 HAT

WAYCROSS, Ga. — Santa Claus is looking for a new job after a mall in southeast Georgia pulled him for posting a picture of him wearing a Trump 2020 via social media.

Frank Skinner has played Santa Claus every Christmas for nearly 50 years, including the past 14 years at The Mall at Waycross Shopping Center in Waycross, Georgia. But this was not enough to save his Santa gig. Skinner said the mall was already closing and no children were around him last week when he decided to switch hats and pose wearing the Trump hat for fun.

This man has been Santa for nearly 5 decades.

Last week, after the mall had closed, he had a friend take the picture of him wearing a Trump hat, for his personal social media.

Some busybody (perhaps a leftist) complained to the mall and he was fired.

Fortunately he has several other job offers-but it goes to show how lame these busybodies are.

He probably would have been fired for wearing any hat out of costume - Santas usually have strict dress codes while on set. Just say'n. He knew better.

 

His employers were well within their rights to fire him.

I don't see a problem with it.

Have Hannity, Carlson, or Ingraham scheduled him for an in-depth interview to discuss this outrage?

Usually, Faux turns these RW "Mock Outrage" stories into a cause celebre.

Once again, I fully support the decision to terminate him.

Doesn't matter. If he signed the traditional "Santa Claus" contract that most malls use, he could not alter the costume while on set. He was still on set. It's kind of like the Disney contracts that are so strict about costumes. If he was doing it for 50 years, he knew better.

And your crap about the War on Christmas? Nope, it's actually an attempt to keep Christmas traditional. A traditional Santa costume does not include MAGA hats. Why do your posts always fail?

Yes, the mall was well with in their rights to terminate his employment. That is true. No disputing that fact. And I support their right to do so.

However, that doesn't mean it wasn't a dick move worthy of condemnation.

Just because someone CAN do something, doesn't mean that they should. The guy clearly made sure to take the pic after the mall closed and no kids were around. There was no harm caused by him doing this. Except to peoples snowflake mentality.

 

Actually he gives gifts to people who have been good. And its hard work being good for a kid.

 

I have done work in Waycross, Ga many times. It is not a place that would complain about this. The complantaint was probably a basement dweller from Massachusetts.

 

The Trumper can go find a job elsewhere too.
