It seems T negotiated the withdrawal. No matter how badly it was executed, this butthead was going there.

Here's a an idea for you: two wrongs don't make a right. Your mom should have taught you this. I assure you it is indeed a truism.

Not a big Biden guy, but I admire the deflection.

We went after Snowden. On balance he was wrong. He had factors in mitigation though. T has none. Not about party affiliation. It's about right and wrong.[/quote]

I admit I will continue to reject it as long as the courts do. Including courts presided by T appointees. It appears to me it doesn't make a difference to you how it is presented if you don't like the outcome. Regardless, it still doesn't justify the events of Jan. 6. Your boy was either at the center of that or he was just too dumb to be POTUS. The jury is still out.

Well, I've done some thorough research and found there's a clue in the thread name. If it's a meme and Maga themed, then the answer is yes to your question.

But not in the Taliban's official fighting season? Yes it is true but it is also true that a criminal justice system which favours one side over the other is obscene. Snowden a DNC politician?

Trump's right, we should execute spies. Let's look for some. Yeah, did a platoon of agents ever show up to raid her house? He impeached a president for perjury, obstruction of justice and failing to pay his taxes

Talk to Trump about that. He is responsible for negotiating the withdrawal.

Snowden lives in Russia. Pretty useless to the DNC now. He worked for the CIA, he was not a politician then.

Honestly I'm not sure there was ever a good way to withdraw, the house upon the sand.

Trump negotiated it and made sure he wouldn't have to execute it. He let the AQ and Taliban buttheads leave knowing where they would go. The only retreat I've found that went even slightly OK was Dunkirk, and that left 70k Frenchmen behind. Not to criticize, but it was not a purely military effort either. There were about 700 civilian boats involved.

Not gonna lie it seems the Biden administration could have executed better, But Rumplethinskin set the initial parameters.

First, Gallipoli was a good idea from a strategic perspective.

Second, There was no attempt to evacuate collaborators from Gallipoli. Most of the outcry about the withdrawal from Afghanistan is to do with them. The military got out fine. The two situations are not comparable in the way you escribe.

You asked for an example of a successful retreat? I gave you one.

You think Gallipoli was a successful retreat? How many Turks did they leave behind? You can be sure there were some. Not reported because in 1916 who cared about some wogs? Just because it was reported one way, don't think it was all that way. When the Germans lost in WWI and WW2, collaborators were punished. Brits left Frenchmen at Dunkirk, etc., etc. Gallipoli was not perfect, though reported that way. No retreat is good.

But hey, if Gallipoli or Dunkirk is your standard, all the American troops made it out, right?

The NFL owners should have done this. Because they didn't, I don't watch football anymore.
