Manafort goes to The Big House while awaiting trial. The President wasted no time in throwing him under the Bus: "Manafort has nothing to do with our campaign" Trump said.
Yeah, Manafort's business dealings which have not one damned thing to do with the brief time he was in the Trump Campaign, are "Trump's Fault".
Then Trump has absolutely positively nothing at all to worry about. But, . . . he knew Manafort twelve years ago and Manafort works in those same circles of Russian Spies showering money on Americans that financed Trump when no American Banks would loan him money. What Manafort can divulge is unknown, at least to us. But like Bannon said in "Fire And Fury" the way to Trump is through Manafort on money laundering from Russia. That's if you trust Steve Bannon.
Wasn't Manafort one of his campaign manager in the early days of his campaign? Seems like I remember seeing him on Meet the Press speaking up for Trump.
Yes, yes he was. Currently five people who worked for the Trump Campaign have plead Guilty to various crimes.
What's to mention? Trump's campaign manager is in jail for conspiring with Russian agents, among other things. Thus, the Trump backers declare there's no evidence of the Trump campaign conspiring with Russians. They're completely detached from reality. However, the lawsuit against the Trump Foundation and those who run it by NY state is probably a bigger deal. It's not a criminal investigation, yet, but it almost certainly will end up that way. At this stage, law enforcement knows what tricks the Trumps use to launder money. Trump, Ivanka and Jared are a clown class of criminals, not bothering to hide their tracks, thinking they could always bribe and intimidate their way out of trouble. That's not happening now. And charges by a state are not pardonable.
Whatever happened to due process? I guess that doesn't apply to witch hunts, where you just throw the witch in the lake and let her drown. In reality, it's due process that's being tampered with, and it's the Mueller witch hunt that's tampering with it. Mueller and his henchmen are abusive thugs that need to be reigned in, and prosecuted for their abuses. From the start, this has been a prosecution in search of a crime, instead of a crime needing prosecution. It is by far, the most contrived and abusive breech of federal authority I've seen in my lifetime.
Here is a better idea than that conspiratorial nonsense, how about Manafort just stops breaking the law once in his life? https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1512
What law did Manafort break, and when did he break it? Please tell me also, what court of law ever convicted him of doing so.
He's in jail for witness tampering. Not a parking ticket. From what I've read he used a tactic in which he opens an email account and saves a message as a draft. He then gives the password to the person the message is for, then that person reads it then deletes. I may have to use that one day!
Who screened and selected manafort to be trump’s campaign manager I mean I understand that trump should not be prosecuted for manaforts misdeeds Otoh if there were misdeeds, one is a little surprised that a person who “knows all the best people” chose him.... and actually still seems to largely support him Do you think manafort should be exemp from prosecution? Is there a reason that trump still dismisses the charges against manafort?
When was he convicted of witness tampering? Even with a parking ticket, one is allowed to plead his own case before having to pay the fine. I would think the same would hold true for witness tampering. That is, unless it's a political witch hunt of some kind.
He isn't being killed by a mindless mob. He is being order back to jail by a judge for violating the terms of his house arrest. Get a grip on reality.
Crimes not related to Trump. Mueller has the authority to prosecute anyone he finds in his investigation that broke the law, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump.
How do you know it has nothing to do with Trump? Have you seen everything that Mueller has collected during his investigation.
