I often wonder how many are Russian trolls since I was verbally attacked for criticizing Russia and Putin by a forum member here a few days ago. Anyone that defensive of Putin and Russian politics is a troll in my opinion.

Always a "not yet". But hey, keep searching and maybe you will uncover Obama's "real" birth certificate too.

"As part of the deal, Ms. Butina admitted to being involved in an organized effort, backed by Russian officials, to open up unofficial lines of communication with influential Americans in the N.R.A. and in the Republican Party, and to win them over to the idea of Russia as a friend, not a foe."

omg, sound the alarms and get to your foxholes, we have incoming.....

Actually more and more evidence keeps emerging. Don't be in too much of a rush to see your idol and his entourage convicted. Keep hoping he has enough time to destroy the free press. The FBI, the NSA, and the American healthcare system before he becomes totally crippled by his own corruption.

Obviously you can't see the illegalities in soliciting monies from an unregistered foreign agent. Let me help by quoting the law for you verbatim.

"Foreign nationals. Campaigns may not solicit or accept contributions from foreign nationals. Federal law prohibits contributions, donations, expenditures and disbursements solicited, directed, received or made directly or indirectly by or from foreign nationals in connection with any election — federal, state or local."

"Cuz" yes, what do you think the whole big stink is all about? You should google more information on this topic, and catch up without asking someone to look things up for you.

Hey, man, what about, like McCarthyism, and torture, and innocent little college girl being "tortured", and stuff!!??

Let's read some "fake news"--I'm sure that it's all "nonsense", and, like Sacco and Vanzetti, McCarthyism, and stuff:

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...central-banker-retires-as-aide-nears-u-s-deal

"A Moscow real-estate executive. Two former staffers in Vladimir Putin’s administration. A Siberian mayor with dreams of cloning woolly mammoths.

To Maria Butina and her minder back home, these were the right Russians for Donald Trump’s Washington.
Butina, 30, who now admits she worked as an undeclared Kremlin agent, helped arrange for these and five other Russians chosen by a top official to attend the 2017 National Prayer Breakfast, which was held just two weeks after Trump’s inauguration, according to U.S. prosecutors.

“People in the list are handpicked” by Butina and the official “and are VERY influential in Russia,” she wrote in a November 2016 email cited by prosecutors. “They are coming to establish a back channel of communication.”

The other Russians, most of whose names haven’t previously been disclosed, are identified in documents reviewed by Bloomberg News.

In addition to attending the annual event, where Trump gave the keynote speech to some 3,500 guests, the delegates went to meetings that Butina helped arrange with politically connected Americans -- the culmination of her now-admitted multiyear effort to forge inroads into the U.S. conservative movement, including the National Rifle Association.

Pleading guilty in a Washington courtroom on Thursday, Butina admitted she’d been doing the Kremlin’s work and agreed to cooperate with U.S. national security prosecutors.

B-b-b-but, she's innocent because, well, I just feel sad about this, because all she tried to do is "have meetings" and have "better relations".

So, in conclusion, the weird unholy marriage between anti-government types and oddly pro-Russian fake conservatives, leads us here:

    1. Maria Butina is "innocent" because of, well, err, "stuff" that is only speculation; and
    2. To believe otherwise is bad because we're punishing a poor college student who only wanted "better relations".

Let's forget that she admitted to being an unregistered agent for the Russian government, that she worked directly for Alexander Torshin, that a "college student" is simply not going to have the ties to the Russian government and its peripheral shadowy agents, or be able to arrange high-level meetings with government officials in Russia.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/20/...-national-rifle-association-trump-russia.html

Donations made by the NRA to the Trump campaign (30m) was money from Torshin who is a direct operative of Putin. No millionaire in Russia does anything without the direct approval or direction of Vladimir Putin.

    https://www.opensecrets.org/news/20...-operative-russian-spy-maria-butina-lobbying/

[snip]Senate intelligence and finance committees have reportedly requested documents on the NRA’s connections to Russia, including documents related to whether the NRA took Russian money and the 2015 delegation. After spending a record $54.4 million to put President Donald Trump in the White House and support Republicans in Congress, the NRA’s membership dues dropped precipitously the following year.

Are Republicans Covering for Trump, or for Themselves?
If the N.R.A. was compromised by Russia, the whole party's in trouble.

[snip] Then, on Monday, we learned of the arrest of Maria Butina, who is accused of being a Russian agent who infiltrated the National Rifle Association, the most important outside organization in the Republican firmament. Legal filings in the case outline a plan to use the N.R.A. to push the Republican Party in a more pro-Russian direction.

If the N.R.A. as an organization turns out to be compromised, it would shake conservative politics to its foundation. And this is no longer a far-fetched possibility. “I serve on both the Intelligence Committee and the Finance Committee,” Senator Ron Wyden, Democrat of Oregon, told me. “So I have a chance to really look at this through the periscope of both committees. And what I have wondered about for some time is this whole issue of whether the N.R.A. is getting subverted as a Russian asset.”

Maria Butina Pleads Guilty: Everything We Know About Alleged Russian Spy's Connections to Trump, NRA, Republicans

    https://www.newsweek.com/maria-butina-pleads-guilty-spy-trump-nra-1257528

Accused Russian spy Maria Butina admitted in court on Thursday that she participated in a conspiracy against the United States under the direction of a Russian official.

She has agreed to cooperate with investigators and provide details about Russian government efforts to infiltrate Republican political circles. She reportedly will also provide information about the role of her American boyfriend in helping her make contact with highly placed Republicans.

The NRA has admitted to receiving Russian money, including membership fees from Torshin. The association also donated around $30 million to the Trump campaign. A recent investigation by Mother Jones and website The Trace found that the Trump campaign and the NRA had also coordinated their advertising strategies.

Oh my gosh, no wonder they threw her into solitary confinement.

WOW! So Foreign Minister Lavrov the most respected diplomat in the world is a spy? Bravo for that observation. :applause:

Out of curiosity, who is footing your bill anyway because they're not getting their money's worth.

More horrors, she loved the Church. I mean that's the worse. Lock her up for sure and don't let her loose or we'll be goners.

    What, me an idiot?

So, they punished her for "loving the church", too?

Man, all she wanted to so was love God and have better relations with America!!

And that "most respected diplomat" in the whole Universe, and maybe even Planet Earth, Sergei Lavrov, is just a fine human being who also wants "better relations" with America, and we brand him a "spy"!

The more you lie about who these a-holes are, the crazier you sound.
