So your position is dependent on whom you are posting with?

That’s one nice thing about weed - different strains give you different high. With alcohol it’s all the same.
Most who judge about weed, base their judgement on street weed, where you generally can’t really choose. There are strains that barely make you tipsy and make you talk a lot. And there are other strains that would make you silent and locked to your couch.

So, your statement that weed alters minds is wrong because it depends on a strain. Very heavy indica is like drinking hard liquor, while Sativas are very light. And drinking booze does alter ones mind - many prefer a drink or two before approaching a person they find attractive. Booze gives you excessive confidence, which in itself is alteration of ones mind. And it’s very visible when you are sober and observe such behavior in others. ;)

If hypocrisy is the yardstick, I'm pretty sure he's a midget next to you.
Not in the least, trust me.

I got thinking about your claims of the ill effects of marihuana smoking. Comparing it to the ill effects of tobacco. As I pointed out earlier, researchers had been noticing that low to moderate pot smokers who did not smoke tobacco tended to have not only healthy lungs, but had an increased lung capacity.

Tobacco is really harsh. Much more harsh than marihuana. I'm also not so sure that marihuana uses draw so much tar into their lungs.

Years ago, I had access to some very sensitive testing equipment. Anyhow, going back to what I had learnt in college chemistry, that as a substance is burned, that oxygen is attaching itself to the substance, or stealing its electrons, which is kind of the same thing.

When I burned plant matter, I got three products, smoke, ash, and residue, which is mostly tar. When I collected the three products and weighed them, they always weight more than the original substance, proving that atmospheric gases are involved in burning.

Anyhow, if one sees how marihuana is smoked a great deal of the tar does not go up into smoke but rather clogs one's pipe. Some people smoke the tar, but it does not burn well and one has to continually apply heat to burn it. And it is an inferior high. Most people, like myself, prefer to use a bong, which further filters, and cools the smoke.

When one smokes a joint, the tar collects in the butt end of the joint, why it is so harsh. Why they are called roaches.

The younger generations tend to use dabs or vape oils, both of which are highly refined and contain no tar. The thing about dabs, is that it only takes a hit or two, to get a good buzz on. But then, it only takes three or four good hits of a prime flower, to get equally as high.

So the stress on one's lungs are quite minimal. Especially if one is not doing it everyday.

One joint can get four people high. A typical cigarette smoker smokes more than twenty cigarettes a day.

All of which has nothing to do with what I have said. I will repeat what I have said previously. I consider tobacco worse than alcohol or marijuana and alcohol worse than marijuana Every time I see a young person smoking, I feel like smacking him in the side of the head. However that has does nothing to with whether marijuana is dangerous. You could probably increase your lung capacity by just holding your breath without the dangers of the marijuana. Secondly, danger to your lungs is only part of the problem. It can also negatively affect you mentally, especially young people.

Considering this and some of his other songs, it is kind of a shame that Daniels took a turn to the dark side.

Thus makes you sound like a crazy old man. The dangers of marihuana. I'm surprised you aren't going on about Rock n Roll and how it is destroying the youth of our nation.

Alcohol factors in more deaths than pot. Why is it ok for alcohol to be legal but not pot? I do not advocate its use anymore than I advocate the use of alcohol. I advocate for personal freedoms.

It doesn't matter how dangerous pot might be. That has nothing to do with the question of legality.

How dangerous are motorcycles, skydiving, scuba diving, boating, mountain climbing and repelling...? Are we going to start banning everything that is dangerous?

It's the same way now. And any problems are caused by it being the only place like that.

There is no way marijuana is as dangerous as alcohol for driving. There are surveys that say it is 1/15 as dangerous. But a great way to make money for localities. And they still do not have a good test for how stoned you are.

Hmmm...not sure if you are being sarcastic or not....If you are not, then I have no idea why you think it is the governments job to provide that. How about just dont drive if you have been drinking? Is that so difficult?? Just quit being so ****ing pathetic and don't put the bottle to your lips if you are going to drive.

Exactly not. My position is dependent upon what is in my self interest. Tolerance is what is in my self interest.

I condone very little and condemn even less. I judge all things and tolerate most of it. I condone about 2% of stuff. I condemn about 1% of stuff and merely tolerate 97% of stuff because that is what is in my self interest.

Do not be indiscriminate. "I don't judge.", is not a noble claim. Good judgement is a learned and perishable skill.
Those who do not exercise good judgement on a regular basis are those most likely to condemn whatever they don't condone.

Refined sugar is probably more dangerous than marijuana. Outlawing it is one of our most useless, needlessly authoritarian laws.

I thought he was complimenting me. Something along the line of me being cool and whatnot. How easily it is that I see through the Republican propaganda. How logically I tear it apart. How much I mock it.

But as we all know, conservatives tend to passively accept propaganda, much moreso than liberals. I remember an assembly they had at my school in junior high. A silly multimedia presentation where they tried to scare us away from the "evil" drugs. Afterwards there were kids who were scared, but more importantly, there were kids who were going, "Cool, where can I get some?"

More needless authoritarianism from the Nanny State isn't something to celebrate. It is less dangerous than many perfectly legal substances. We should reserve our limited jail space and devote our limited LE resources to actual issues, not kneejerk Puritanism.

I've been very consistent with my opinion. I don't advocate one way or the other as to the law. My position is there is nothing edifying about a marijuana high. Nothing at all for the benefit of the culture. The focus of it'a legalization is to promote it's use. Many have smoked it for years incognito. I always understood that the promoters of legalization actually are promoters of it's use.

I would say we should resort our resources to our freedoms to achieve and lift one another up. Can't see devoting our resources to dumbing eachother down with mind altering substances.

When I was in the "trade" it was Alcapulco Gold, Maui Wowi, Afghanistan, Columbian Red and that's about it. I knew dealers that liked my homegrown better than what they could get because I always used 1st generation seed, culled any plant that showed an indication of being male, and properly cured the bud. No stems no seed.

Now that I have escaped that and matured in life, I will tell you.....it's all about THC. The oil I get is tested in labs. My daughter takes it and she is testing to be an RN. any sign of THC and she is done! We aren't looking to alter our minds. Those that want legalization.....it's all about what it can do with your mind.
