The invasion is already under way. We would have to go to war to get CA back, whether it's with CA or Mexico. Our only other option is to build the wall, enforce the law, and maybe end the anchor baby policy.

Theaters died, because they did not progress / evolve with the times.

And the products sucked along with those who made and starred in them.

Something good does not simply go away, Movies were good when you had nothing else, then VCRs and later, DVDs, cheap easy to prepare hot popcorn, and a Ratty old comfy couch,
Why pay $15 per, plus overpriced snax ?
    $ 8 for a hotdog ?

Personal Defense is another matter, Nothing can replace the safety a Concealed Handgun offers.
    It is cost effective too.

Theatres failed when they took out the canvas seats. Not a coincidence that they and drive in theatre where around at the start of the baby boom

Where did he say that Matt Damon couldn't say what he said? He just offered to buy him a ticket with a stipulation. We have a 1A also.

If someone hates the political landscape of one country, but favors that of another, why do they not simply move to the country that they prefer, rather than complaining about the aspects they do not like about where they reside?

I fully support your Right to speak out. You should also be held accountable for what you say. Advocating gun control is treason. Furthermore, if people are here and our Constitution does not suit them, they should leave and go somewhere that makes them happy.

Matt Damon complains incessantly about this country and then stars in shoot 'em up movies that glorify the very things he wails about. Okay, I fully support his First Amendment Rights. Now, he's being called to accountability.

Disagree. Unless he's fomenting sedition he has a right to oppose and change the 2nd amendment. His speech however, exposes him as a first class hypocrite and I certainly won't buy a ticket into any movie he's involved with.

The First Amendment is a limitation on the government, not on private citizens.

Who would go to war to keep CA in the US?

Those that desire the geography, and intend to carry out an extermination program of the indigenous people to remove them and their political ideologies from the equation.

I think my uncle would be better off moving from California. I'd rather not risk my son in the military in a war to keep them. Secession would lead to annexation by Mexico within a couple of months. Mexico would start flooding California with Mexicans. They would bus every poor person and empty every jail they have to get California. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to send us refugees from California.

The only way to constitutionally do what Matt Damon wants done is to amend the Constitution. He doesn't advocate to amend the Constitution, but change the laws. Changing the law via an unconstitutional means is sedition at the least and treason at the far end of the legal spectrum.

Surely you know that the right to free speech does not confer protection from the reaction to said free speech.

What do Australians sit on in theaters? My theater has recliners(high quality vinyl) with cup holders and some theaters have dine in meal service or active suspension seats to make you feel like you are part of the action. $8 tickets - $12 for 3D theaters or active suspension(I forget what they call it). Dine in is obviously more.

The drive in near my house is pretty decent as well. Less than $10 for a double feature of new release movies. We've been known to park the Jeep or truck facing away and set lawn chairs or blankets and pillows up in the back. The sound is broadcast on FM radio to the car stereos.

My complaint is the political messages of the actors on and off the screen. I go to movies for entertainment and escape of life's problems for a couple of hours. I don't need to hear Jason Bourne tell me that guns are evil after he shoots a couple of dozen people in a movie.

Depends on the theatre and how much you want to pay. But The canvas seats were in the open air theatres and they were just canvas strung between two boards to make a sort of long hammock. They were surprisingly comfortable and you could stretch out on them. Which is why some became a little too intimate in the back rows

I think that's an artifact of theaters worldwide, regardless of accouterments.
