It may be five or six years late, but Mayweather (47-0) and Pacquiao (57-5) will finally fight May 2nd in Las Vegas. This fight promises to be the most lucrative fight in boxing history. So boxing fans, who do you have winning this one? I'm taking Mayweather via close decision.

My heart says Pacquiao, but my head says Mayweather. I just don't think Pacquiao is driven like he used to be.

Mayweather will not be able to defend against the southpaw who fights from every angle imaginable. Manny by TKO

Mayweather is the best defensive fighter of our era, not sure why you would say that. He's damn sure a better boxer than Marquez. If Manny comes in moving like he did against Marquez, Floyd is going to counter his jaw into the 5th row.

You've got that right. I'm hearing it's a 60/40 split in favor a Floyd. Still, both guys stand to make more in this fight than they could ever make fighting someone else.

tuning in only to see if Pacquiao can give Mayweather a hard time. Floyd has a brilliant defense/counter, but I can't recall him fighting a persistent combo-oriented southpaw. The two styles alone are reason to watch. Also not judging this fight based on Marquez comparisons... he had plenty of chances to learn Manny.

This will be like watching Kobe vs. LeBron today. It would have been awesome several years ago. But it won't be all it's hyped up to be now. That window has closed.

I like Pacquiao and I don't much care for Mayweather, but I see Mayweather taking this.

I think PAC one moreover all, but I'd whoop both of them if they were in my house :machinegun:

Well, you couldn't have been more off base with your prediction of the fight. Pacquiao fell into Mayweather game plan and couldn't touch him.

Seemed that way, though he gave him a decent fight. I didn't feel ripped off.

He needed to push in last 3 rounds, but he let Mayweather go on the offensive.

I enjoyed the fight. The fight looked basically how I thought it would.

I wonder where this puts Mayweather on the "all time greats" list.

Waste of time and money, more like scam of the century.

And as far as either fighters place on "all time greats" , after this (*)(*)(*)(*) poor match neither one of them deserve to be in the top 10.

I give more props to Pac as he at least tried to fight while Mayweather spent most of the time once again with his "tap tap RUN" routine to simply win by points. I dont know where judges saw power shots from Mayweather, I saw maybe 5 or 6 strong shots landed at most while Pac landed in and around 15 true power shots. Unless of course the judges were giving hits in the arm credit for Mayweather.

This fight was nothing for a payday for Mayweather, he wasn't going to truly fight, just his same old boring style of cowardice. If Mayweather would have came out and put a beating on Pac then I would have definitely given the nod to put him as a top 10 all time great. But this is why boxing has died with this fight, more showboating than fighting and just trying to outpoint people with weak jabs. Gladly Mayweather is relinquishing his belt, maybe the young guys who actualy want to fight can bring the sport back.

I would rather see Ronda Rousey vs. Mayweather.
