Media trust hits new low Axios is a left leaning media site. A few things I want to point out about their article... "Make sure it's widely accepted", "trusted institutions to visibly embrace news media", those "trusted institutions" being the "CEOs (a/k/a the fourth branch of government)", referring to CEO's "use the trust they've built up to help rebuild our civic infrastructure." So, what AXIOS wants is to make sure that any info the "traditional media" puts it is made to be believed by relying on CEOs (the fourth branch of government doncha know!) to re-enforce the media's narrative. Going beyond "merely putting truthful information in front of the public". Never mind that the majority of the public has seen for itself how the media exaggerates and pushes forth a narrative of their own design. If the majority of the public won't listen then we damn well better make them listen! Anyone that tries to convince me that this was written by someone on the right is going to get laughed at. A lot. What this person is advocating for is true corporatist fascism. Sad thing is that they don't even know that is what they're arguing for. As long as it pushes their agenda that is all that they care about. They see Twitter et al censoring people they disagree with and thinks its a good idea so it MUST be a good idea for all corporations to do the same. And they MUST! It's their civic duty! At least that last part there is what I get out of what I read in that article.
