Hand holding is not the end all be all, but pushing the other person's hand away is body language that is unmistakably telling, especially when it is done for the world to see.

And that's how deep the loathing goes, ;).

That they do. She traded out one misery, not knowing she was inheriting another.

There is no evidence of Melania loathing Donald.

Or, it's her reminding him in the only way possible (in the circumstances - she could hardly say something) that it wasn't appropriate at that moment. It looked more like a mother silently 'educating' her child in public. Something most wives, since the dawn of time, have had to do with husbands. Even the ones we actually like.

But you don't seriously think she'd fancy him, do you?

I mean, what are the chances that someone her age, looking as she does, would regard him as a hornbag? Zip, I'd say.

I know lots of people who don't like to hold hands or do PDA in the heat. I'm one of them. It seems some folks have not spent much time in hot or humid environments.

If they hadn't cared, it never would have been mentioned. No, the world does care. Don't fool yourself. People were wondering how pissed and unhappy she was. Now they kind of know. If it's revealing itself in public, you can bet there have been some intense exchanges. Living in separate places. This ain't no Barrack/ Michelle presidential honey moon here. She's miserable running around with this old man, and people know it.

What did he leave under your Christmas tree other than his own self interests?

Lots of younger women go for older men. In fact, I heard now Millennial women want to date older men.

"More and more women I know are dating men twice, yes twice, their age. In her new film, The Intern, Anne Hathaway stands with Robert DeNiro and a bunch of young male colleagues in a bar and draws a harsh comparison: “How in one generation have men gone from guys like Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford to . . .?”

    https://acculturated.com/millennial-women/

It has always been true that women are attracted to rich, well-established men. The younger women today only have feminized contemporary males from which to choose so they opt for the older men who have not been turned into namby-pamby leeches.

That's some other culture in another land. That's not ours! The question is irrelevant.
No, because I wouldn't be measuring to begin with, on a scenario that has nothing to do with my culture.

What was not appropriate? Holding his First Lady's hand is entirely appropriate. IMO...after he left her in the dust when they went to The White House to meet the Obama's, someone must have told him what bad optics that was, but when he attempted to provide better optics in Israel, his wife was just not playing along.

It's actually difficult to tell if he's just that self-centered or senile and forgot that she was there at all. Either way...very un-Presidential.

Or his resignation letter. Better yet, what I think I want under that tree more than the resignation, is a disgraced Republican party who ended up being the fall guys for some very bad decisions. Which, as we speak, is working its way under that tree right now. That's the ultimate Christmas present. A qualified, disgraced, impeachable at any time president, who is still in office, continuing to humiliate himself and the party. Now that's the ultimate Christmas gift. Darn, did I just hand you my wish list for Christmas by mistake? That was meant for Santa.

No one is trying to change your point, except to say, in this case, humidity was not a factor there. So, if she wasn't holding Trump's hands in Israel, you can bet with 100% accuracy, humidity played no role.

Except that, unless the man is a zillionaire, and the woman dirt poor, desperate, or just plain trailer trashy, it's actually pretty rare. I don't know ANY woman ... now or in the past ... who would willingly date a much older man. The biggest gap I've ever known of was 14 years, and it didn't last. Almost every woman I know is adamant that their men not be more than about 5 years older .. 8/10 at the very most. And even then, he'd have to be exceptionally good looking and fit, etc. Personally, I don't care for men even 5 years older than me.

As for 'well established', there are plenty of fit, good looking, younger men who are financially secure/rich. If a woman can't nail one such, then she's simply not in that league herself. In which case, perhaps her only option (if she wants financial security via a man) is ugly old men?

I generally agree but the article is claiming a trend. That's all.
