I keep hearing African Americans saying that MB was targeted. I thought it was proven that he was fighting the officer (forgot his name) for the gun when he was shot. Is this true? If so, then there was no targeting, right? I want to be fair here.

Then why do they keep saying he was targeted? I am sure it does happen, but their argument holds no water in this case.

Their minds were made up before the facts, which they ignored anyway, came out.

There are only four types of crime that Liberals care about:

    - A white person killing a black person.

    - A "White Latino" killing a black person.

    - A Christian committing any crime.

    - A Republican committing any crime.

I don't believe he was "targeted" in the conventional understanding of the word. Maybe "profiled" or "zeroed in on" or "came to the attention of..." I don't know. I - unlike so many here - was not actually there. Many years ago I was "targeted" by an over zealous rookie cop who had come from the suburbs into the big bad inner city to clean it up and who took exception to me getting a chickensh*t ticket he gave me dismissed. He would follow me and try to harass me (targeting). The 'targeting' came to a rather abrupt and ignominious end one day after a confrontation. I have seen no evidence this was the case with Mr.Brown. I think he simply made a boneheaded decision and the officer reacted poorly. But I don't think he was "targeted" any more than any other young Af-Am in the area.

Committing an strong arm robbery is just bone headed? Arguing with a police officer carrying out his duty 10 minutes after you just committed that robbery is just boneheaded? Fighting with the police officer, who now believes you are the suspect in that robbery, who just told you to freeze is just boneheaded? Going after his weapon and fighting over it is just boneheaded? Then when the officer again attempts to arrest you and take you into custody you charge back at him and keep at him until he kills you is just boneheaded?

And how exactly did the officer react poorly?

    How about criminal and threatening?

And how did the officer react poorly?

    "Deadly mistake".

And answer the question, how did the officer react poorly?

Its liberal pawns that are saying that.

And the reason they're saying that is because their overlords were using Michael "Feral Thug" Brown as a distraction from the failures of liberalism during an election year.

    Ask Michael Moore about that.

I wonder if you would ever rush to the defense of a Conservative for expressing HIS opinion. In fact I dont wonder, I know you wouldnt.

I imagine my word count was well under 100 but don't you think his actions that day went far beyond just being boneheaded and were in fact criminal and threatening to law abiding citizens and a police officer carrying out his duty?

Well you care enough to come here and voice your opinion in a debate forum.

And what was the poor reaction are you asserting created that situation and please be specific? What other option did he have to stop the criminal who was charging him after already having attempted to go for his weapon?

    Non-sequitur.

And I was giving mine in this forum where we discuss and comment and defend our opinions which are subject to inquiry.

Hmmmm hyperbole all you left with?

I bet it even more than my "1,000" he got upset about.

Never found "boneheaded" to be an necessarily eloquent word and in fact he seemed to be attempting to marginalize Brown's behavior that day while criticizing that of the police officer. This being a debate forum he was challenged on those two opinions. Seemed to have put a burr under his saddle.

What was negative about my response to him or denigrating?

I asked him if committing strong armed robbery is merely being "boneheaded", same with attacking a police officer who is attempting to arrest you.

He then asked me what I called it and I told him, without getting upset about it, it is criminal and threatening.

    That is called discussing.
