    Abuse of power was definitely one of the reasons the founding fathers left to Congress the ability to impeach. And requesting campaign assistance in the form of an investigation against his domestic political rivals while he simultaneously and unilaterally held up hundreds of millions in military aid and a requested meeting is an abuse of power.

    They also considered obstructing justice to be an impeachable offense. And trying to hide, lie about, and actively obstruct the investigation by demanding all potential witnesses to keep their mouth shut is an obstruction of justice.

    Not just look into corruption but look into corruption of political foes. There must be corruption going on all over the world. What other governments are we asking to look into corruption as a precondition to aid?
