Miracle on Ice team defends decision to appear at Trump rally

It is said that these blokes were in Las Vegas celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their triumphant victory where they held off the Red Hordes to save the entire USA......can you show me where else, other than on that Trump stage, they did their celebrating...in public.....in Nevada?

 

It wasn’t the whole team and they weren’t wearing any jerseys or anything to suggest they were there as representatives of the team.
So I think it’s fair to say you have lost respect for them individually. It’s up to you as to whether that affects your view of the team as a whole.

 

He wasn’t holding that rally in his capacity as president. It was a political re-election rally. Totally different.
When a president invites winning teams to the White House, it should be apolitical. This was entirely political.

If they had not been announced, they'd just be a bunch of numpties on a stage and we would not be having this discussion. Again, this event is totally staged.
