You dishonour the Office by using as props, a National Sporting Icon, and the Icon should never agree to being used as a prop. Trump wanted them there and they agreed to be there to become part of the circus a political rally is.

I'm sorry you don't understand the difference between those 2 situations, because it's pretty obvious. You can oppose or support whichever action you choose, but there's very little equation between the two, other than both involving famous sports personalities and Trump...

But it doesn't bother me because I do understand the difference.

And at least you understand it wasn't the "Olympic Women's soccer team", like other unnamed posters.. It was the World Cup team...

It was once and it will be again.

I'm sure many/most of those guys were honored to meet this President, even though they've all already met a President...

Not the point of this thread however...

It doesn't matter who it is or who the President is. It's a highlight to their career they should be able to hold close without pedantic criticism.

Trump attacked the last President over Ebola, he deserves any ridicule he gets - especially since he is lying and trying to hide the science, fired the people that normally handle pandemics in 2018

Trump lies so much, he is like China, lying to his people, no one knows what to believe

    C'Mon, Man.

Copypasting a bunch of things that DON'T even matter?:roflol::bored:

    Wow.

In the BIG Picture, Trump is letting Putin do whatever Daddy Vlad wants.

Anyway, back to the OP and the 1980 Team, these guys will live it down but they proved that they aren't very plugged into the current political culture (in which the vast majority of America despises Trump).
