Women live longer than men, ultimately they win. But when we talk about health, do we ever talk about men's health? Nope, just women's.

When it comes to defending this country, who dies in huge numbers, men or women?

Who pays for dinner and a movie?

When men are falsely accused, who rallies around them? It certainly isn't women or the left.

He is living in 2019 on Earth, where people still jump to conclusions and gossip.

We are not talking about a single night away from home. We are talking about a situation where a man and a woman will spend many days and nights together alone. Traveling across the State in a car together. Maybe even sleeping in that car at times. Eating together. Sleeping together (or in close proximity). Taking care of personal hygiene together. Planning and discussing long term plans together. Sharing "secrets" together.

Would you be supportive if the candidate was a female that did not want to do all of these things with a male reporter. I guessing that you would be fully supportive of the female candidate.....if so, that would be the difference between us. I support either sex equally. I would support a female candidate's desire to not travel with a male reporter as much as I support a male candidate not wanting to travel with a female reporter.

Can you guarantee that the female reporter would not claim sexual harassment/assault, even if there was none? Can you guarantee that one of the people involved would not get the wrong ideas and pursue a relationship the other person does not want? Can you guarantee that the male would not get aggressive with the female. Heck, can you even guarantee that the female would not get aggressive with the male? If the female report claimed that the male candidate sexually assaulted her, would you automatically believe her? Even if there was absolutely no evidence?

I today's age, there are many opinions on what constitutes assault. On this forum, there is a female member that is claiming she was sexually assaulted. Maybe she was, maybe she was not....I really do not know and there might be more to the story than she told. However, the events as she described them is not assault. She described working late one night and the married boss walking up behind her and massaging her shoulders. Now, it might be inappropriate because they were both married...or is might be inappropriate because he is her boss...but massaging a person's shoulders is not sexual assault. I have massaged my brother's shoulders and I certainly do not want to have sex with him.

That is a lie. I am not the one that has the broad brush like you do. I am all for women's rights and the woman reporter has the right to be a reporter. However, she does not have a right to force herself into a situation that would make another person uncomfortable. As I said above, I would support a female candidate that does not want to go on the campaign trail with a male reporter. I would support the female reporter if she did not want to go on the campaign trail with the male candidate and would not feel it was right if she was fired for not taking the assignment. I seriously doubt if you would be supportive if the roles were reversed.....but maybe I am wrong.

The best way this reporter can prevent herself from being sexually abused is to have a witness with her while she's doing the interview. If it was her idea to have a witness you'd be all for and still bashing men. You really do want to protect women, right?

Going back to post #1, why does this woman want to be alone with the candidate?

 

#MeToo changed the world. Women became empowered to speak up against those who have oppressed or abused them. I can see no bad in that. Unfortunately, along with that empowerment, a contingent have used the movement to falsely accuse innocent men. Sad, but that's - unfortunately - human nature as we now know it.

If this man is fearful of being falsely accused, I think that politics might not be the right calling for him.
