He did not attempt to flee, he went one block to his home. Not only reasonable but what you're supposed to do, stop where it is safe for you. Women are told when getting pulled over it is perfectly reasonable to go to the nearest public place with many people. As long as you don't commit any other infractions a normal cop has no problem with that. Did the cop use a siren? No.

No he didn't get out of the car. Normally you don't and in fact are told to stay in the car and keep your hands on the wheel and visible. It is in the best interest of the cop for you to stay in your car while he runs your plates and wait for backup if there's reason for concern. The reasons you are supposed to stay in your car is because when you get out the cop has to worry about you running or coming at him with a weapon while he's seated and unable to easily draw his weapon let alone shoot it. This video is going to be used by police training institutes on how not to give a traffic ticket.

Again, this kid is scared shitless. In his place a young black male with a gun pointed at you do you get out? Cuffed and booked for a rolling stop? Being the fine upstanding citizen you are I'm sure you have no experience with being pulled over but ask your friends that have, have they ever exited the car for a simple moving violation? Not DUI or reckless endangerment but a simple speeding ticket or a rolling stop. Did the cop issue himself a ticket for failing to make a complete stop? Only blue lights he too still has to follow the traffic laws.

No he's not a well trained cop but his video will hopefully help others become well trained but America needs to make that commitment across the board. The vast majority of cops are good people but when one does something stupid the others need to stand up and reject stupidity so that one day young black men no longer fear for their lives around police, that black communities welcome the sight of patrol cars and officers can go home to their families at night.
