I haven't seen anybody refer to this snip from the CNN article...

    SNIP
In an unusual move on Sunday, Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who is overseeing Stone's case, called for a "scheduling" conference call with attorneys in the case on Tuesday, ahead of the sentencing hearing set for later this week, according to court documents.

The court did not provide additional details on what would be discussed on the call, and Jackson has not yet formally acknowledged the withdrawals.
    ENDSNIP

If you already have a "sentencing hearing set for later this week", why do you need a "scheduling" conference a few days early??

May mean nothing, but something to watch.

If the same people write the same letter 5 times, then Democrats have five times as many "witnesses and documents".

    Democrat math.

Oh, and speaking of James Wolfe, look at this:

“Jim has already lost much through these events, to include his career and reputation, and we do not believe there is any public utility in depriving him of his freedom,” Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.), ranking member Mark Warner (D-Va.) and former Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) wrote in a letter filed with the court last week.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018...senate-intelligence-committee-leaking-1071960

So two powerful Senators interjecting themselves into the sentencing of Wolfe. Why who would have thought it! Yet President Trump, who is the head of the Executive Branch, did something naughty when he accused the prosecutors of seeking a crazy sentence for Roger Stone. Blah, blah, blah.

Could liberals be more elitist? Now they want a 1000 whiners to have more of a voice than 200 million voters. This is what elections are for...

Hmmm....perhaps it's another Schiff "parody" with real names off the dead voters' list.

Stone's attorneys need to ask for a mistrial on the evidence of the total bias of the jury foreperson. Which foreperson is also an attorney, and who should have known better.

First off, I suggest you count the number of Senators referred to in your snip.

Secondly, there is a world of difference between writing an official letter to the court vs dawn tweeting insults to prosecutors..

Aww, gee, it is three, thanks.

And yeah, an outrageous sentencing demand for Stone was treated as it should have been. Their demands were an insult. As we can see in the the Wolfe matter, a man who leaked classified information but was allowed to plead to lying to the FBI. The governmnet sought 2-years only.

It's fun to watch the left create these little meaningless melodramatic groups. Reminds me of the election in 2016.

Yeah, sure does. This reminds me of an episode of Deep Space Nine, "Rules of Engagement" Worf is accused of firing on a ship of Klingons during a military engagement - except it turns out the beings the Klingon Empire SAYS Worf killed came from a list of travelers that were copied from a crash that happened light-years away on an unrelated incident:

So give these guys a few weeks. I'm sure the SAME group of people will make another complaint about something else.

    He's adopted!

    In elections....

Democrats fall in love. Republicans fall in line.

I'm reading several articles that if Dem voters don't get their "favorite" candidate, the DNC is worried that they'll be too bitter to vote.

Democrats keep saying that the GOP is now "The party of Trump". Actually, that's not true. We just don't think like they do and didn't want Hillary to win.

There's a problem with always trying to capture the votes of the youngest generation (of voting age) to win. Emotion.

If it can happen at the top levels of government, it has scary implications for us "little peon" citizens at the bottom.

    False on the classified information.

    SNIP
Wolfe, 58, pleaded guilty last October to a felony false statement charge for lying to the FBI, but did not admit to leaking classified information. He did, however, concede discussing unclassified but non-public information with reporters in violation of Senate Intelligence Committee rules.
    ENDSNIP

Stone could have pleaded guilty at any time, but chose not to... you roll the dice like that, the penalties will always be stiffer...

If not Wolfe, then Watkins leaked the FISA Application. But IMO, it doesn't make a difference as without Wolfe, Watkins couldn't have obtained the application. So to me, he did leak that information.

IMO, this Wolfe guy is NOT a comp for Roger Stone... I'm not even sure why I responded to that posters bait...

Nothing I posted was false. I said he was allowed to plead it down to lying to the FBI from the [more serious] charges of leaking classified information. They gave him a nice deal, and the judge knocked the asked for sentence from 2-years to 2-months.

You're right, he's not a comp. Regardless of the reasoning he wants to give, he is the direct result of Buzzfeed having access to the FISA application into US Person Carter Page. Stone's prosecution is entirely political, based on an investigation the view of which on party lines.

If you're like me, I think we could've better spent 33 million dollars. On the other hand from the Left prospective, anyone affiliated with Trump should be prosecuted and harassed. But in any event, he will be sentenced. This has been much ado about nothing. Why do you care if he gets a few years less? I only care that fairness is a constant.

Indeed, what Wolfe did was far more egrigious. He was entrusted with classified information and he leaked some of it. That the DOJ allowed him to plead it down to lying to the FBI shows just how unseriously they take it when insiders leak classified information.
