Mandatory E-Verify would clear up most of that.

Uh. We use E-verify. If its a fake ID to a real person that is a legal citizen, it won't pop.

I doubt you use one of the two upgrades I mentioned.
The problem is we base everything off of social security numbers, a system that was never intended to be used for ID.
We need a national ID system to put a dent in this issue along with massive employer penalties.

2 illegal immigrants just made it into the book of world records. (One was an only child and the other had auto insurance!)

Fine upstanding citizens!!! Normal good people just looking for a better life, STEALING IDs. And Democrat claim it’s fine and defend the behavior as harmless and insignificant no matter how many times they’re proven WRONG!

It's not complicated at all. If government wanted to stop companies from hiring people who are here illegally, they could stop companies from hiring people who are here illegally. They turn a blind eye to it because there are too many vested interests that absolutely depend on cheap labor they can exploit.

The best policies are made by compromise, offer it in exchange for a national healthcare program or option and watch what happens.

We have seen how Democrats "compromise" over the last, 3 years. According to them, voter ID is "waycisst".

What has attempted to be compromised?
Neither side seems willing to do that currently.

Too busy impeaching a very unpopular president who only has a year left in his term.

The fact that they are scared to run against such an unpopular president says A lot about the democratic candidates.

Had the same back in the 1970's. Mexicans would enter illegally whike waiting for their visa's and get false ID's. We'd hire them and after a year or two they would ask for a leave if absense because their family let them know it had come through they cross back legally and report backbro work and I'd say hey Juan how was your trip and he'd say GREAT but my name is Jose.

"Based on fieldwork in a migrant farm working community in California's Central Valley, this article critiques the charges of “identity theft” levied by local law enforcement agencies and by federal prosecutors during worksite raids like the one in which Rascón was apprehended. Instead, it shows that many supervisors furnish unauthorized workers and other illegal employees with the identity documents and numbers they need to provide on their federal employment forms. In providing workers with documents, employers create “ghost workers” whose invisibility to the federal government cloaks employers’ own crime even as such phantasmagoric laborers’ legal absence fattens their wallets. Yet, this process of “identity masking” not only directly benefits employers, but also has additional, less‐explored implications for such invisible workers’ labor conditions. I show that because employers can strategically misrepresent such voluntary and consensual exchanges as “thefts” rather than “loans,” the trend towards “governing immigration through crime” (Dowling and Inda 2013) hands them yet one more tool to deepen the vulnerability of the migrant labor force."
'Interviewees told me that such workers – who were not exclusively unauthorized migrants – had forfeited their labor rights along with their true identities; they did not take breaks, did not report their injuries to supervisors, and certainly did not collect workers’ compensation when injured. This piqued my interest in how migrants’ documentation strategies – that is, the means by which migrants furnish the work authorization papers that employers require – affect their labor conditions and health.'"
