In case anyone asks, can the President be subpoenaed? That has already been decided by the Supreme Court.

"The constitutional duty of the courts is to guarantee due process of law, something that Nixon's actions were gravely impairing, according to the Court. The justices ruled that President Nixon had to comply with the subpoena duces tecum issued by Chief Judge John J. Sirica of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Nixon immediately prepared to turn over the subpoenaed materials to Chief Judge Sirica.

"Since United States v. Nixon, executive branch claims of immunity from the normal processes of the American legal system have been tempered by the fact that the constitutional demands of due process of law and justice are likely to outweigh claims of executive immunity from subpoenas."

Clearly the strategy of Don's re-shuffled legal team is going to be to continue to rally the minions around the idea Mueller 's investigation is compromised, or over stepping its bounds, or anything they can come up with to disparage it. It's going to be a public relations battle with the Liar-in-Chief using all allies at his disposal.......nutbag members of Congress.........sympathetic people who own conservative media outlets........and the broader cohort of right wing media like Faux and loony right wing talk radio.

Rush said today that if Mueller subpoena's Trump....it will be a Constitutional crisis. Given how the Fisa warrants were obtained I believe it will be. I've got MY pitchfork!

You've been giving links about Robert Mueller's background. Are you too lazy to click on them? Do you know how to click on them? If not, here is a relevant posting.
Robert Swan Mueller III (/ˈmʌlər/; born August 7, 1944) is an American attorney who served as the sixth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2001 to 2013.[3] A Republican, he was appointed by President George W. Bush; President Barack Obama gave his original ten-year term a two-year extension, making him the longest-serving FBI director since J. Edgar Hoover. He is currently head of the Special Counsel investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections and related matters.

A graduate of Princeton University, Mueller served as a Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V" for heroism and the Purple Heart Medal. After graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law (1973), he worked at a private firm in San Francisco for three years until his appointment as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) in the same city. Before his appointment as FBI Director, Mueller served as a United States Attorney, as United States Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, and as Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General.

It is generally recognized that Sekulow was the scribe for the questions. He was summarizing the discussions between Mueller's and Trump's teams -- not exactly an "author." But the issue and accusation was leaking the questions, not who wrote down the version. The NY Times, in a rare bit of candor and truth, said the source that provided them the questions was outside of Trump's legal team. Everyone else ballyhooing their false information are just jumping at what they want to believe is another gotcha moment.

The FISA warrants were obtained by virtue of overwhelming evidence of their merit.

In the final analysis that is true. Despite fully accepted principles and legal opinions officially put out by the DOJ, and clear constitution implication in the case of an indictment, SCOTUS most certainly might rule in favor of a subpoena and even a criminal indictment. It would not be the first nor last time a court would rule on what they think the law should be, not what it is.
I think you should tell the NY Times that they reported their source incorrectly.

IOW, you are unable to list any significant professional accomplishments of Robert Mueller.

    Hint: there are none.

Most people are now aware of the kind of massive intrusive surveillance being collected on even ordinary Americans. It has been well documented for decades now.

Trump, as a public figure, has never had any secrets unknown to the police/intelligence agencies.

“While restraint such as these have come and gone over the past half century, a more formal and enduring body of curbs on political and social movements in opposition to the status quo has flourished in the form of a system of political intelligence immune to changes in political climate, judicial scrutiny, executive or congressional control. Largely extralegal, autonomous, and clandestine, this political police system has monitored dissent with ever increasing intensity since the end of World War I.” The Age of Surveillance, The Aims and Methods of America's Political intelligence System, Frank J. Donner, Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., New York, 1980. p. 3.

I am sure the Trump team knows exactly who Mueller is and what he has done in the past.
The MSM can only cover it up now until Trump chooses to spotlight what has been reported over the years about Mueller and his ilk.

Thanks for trying to find some substantive rebuttal. But holding a position in government is not an accomplishment.

Has Mueller accomplished anything of significance while holding office?

LOL, I've reached the age where I no longer have to look after children, you know, take care of their every whim. Tell the truth, you aren't the least bit interested in what an all-American hero Mueller is. I gave you links to his biography, of which you are obviously too damn lazy to click on and read. I understand you perfectly.....

Ad hominem nonsense instead of simply providing examples of your "hero"'s significant accomplishments in office.

Conclusion: You could not find any. ;-)

Do you honestly think these baseless attacks on Mueller are going to matter, either way, when he releases the results of his probe? Obviously Don does.........but that's his last, best hope...........to keep the minions on his side no matter what.

Special counsel Robert Mueller focusing sharply on links between Trump confidant Roger Stone and former campaign official Rick Gates, sources say

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/03/mue...en-roger-stone-trump-campaign-aide-gates.html

Special counsel Robert Mueller is focusing intensely on alleged interactions between former top Trump campaign official Rick Gates and political operative Roger Stone, one of President Donald Trump's closest confidants, according to sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

Stone, a longtime advisor to Trump, is apparently one of the top subjects of the Mueller investigation into potential collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, sources told CNBC on condition of anonymity.

The questions have been largely about what was discussed at meetings, including dinners, between Stone and Gates, before and during the campaign, said the sources, who have knowledge of the substance of the recent interviews.
    ............................................................................................................
Since Gates is in Mueller's back pocket this is probably not welcome news for Roger.
