Your moral test has no basis in reality because time machines don't exist and according to physics cannot exist.

So why should entertain your fantasy?

Again, why are you deflecting to fantasy?

Why can't you simply admit that you won't hold yourself to a standard you expect the Arabs of the 7th century to have followed?

By definition, I'm not running interference for any pedos because by the standards of the 7th century there was no pedophilia occurring in this case.

"Love thy neighbor as thyself." Trust should not be earned, being untrustworthy is what's earned.

Like I wrote, as long as people agree to disagree and get along, there is no problem. Forced conversion (jihad), murder (killing gays or unbelievers), physical violence, are not "getting along" and are violations of the Constitution. Saying non-believers are scum is free speech, just like saying all religion sucks, you can listen or walk away.

What about burning gays alive in a lake of fire, even if said gays is more ethical, say, than either you or I are? Surely you condemn torture of innocent people? If you can't be against brutal torture of innocent people then you simply have no moral standing, period.

You're running interference for 1.55 billion people because their GOD would know that sex with kids is wrong because ALLAH doesn't just adopt to the local MAN-MADE customs of the time - god knows best, for all time....but he doesn't know that sex harms children mentally and physically!

Their god isn't real, so why should I even factor it into my argument?

Every society in history has had man-made customs. The difference is that you want to hold Arabs of the 7th century to a standard you won't even hold yourself to.

I assume you mean the Christian belief that after dying a non-Christian goes to hell. If you do not believe Christianity, then that is irrelevant and you can ignore it, it does not harm you.

If you are a Christian, then you believe that every person has a choice to believe or not, and the person will with full knowledge make their choice and face the consequences.

NOT HARM ME!? It creates hatred for all non-Christians (71% of all humanity!), so of course it harms me, because I care about humanity. It also gets people to think that magic is real, that science is not as vital as it should be ("god did it", see). It causes people to accept simple answers ("god did it".) It dumbs-down the world that I live in.

You don't understand Christianity. It is a totally voluntary belief, nobody can be forced. Its the religion of the Golden Rule, specifically stated in both the Old and New Testaments. Its the religion of "turn the other cheek", love your enemy.

That's just a product of your environment and a lack of exposure to Christians. "God did it" does not mean people blindly go about life unquestioning the world. Christians are as curious about the workings of the Universe as anyone else. And being a secularist does not mean a person has any greater respect of science.
