Maybe this needs a separate thread, but we need to agree on what constitutes "anti American." I would say it includes at the least some level of shame or contempt for or opposition to the origin and development of our traditions and principles, especially including the bill of rights and the freedoms of speech and religion (both the free exercise and establishment clauses) contained therein. It is reasonable to suspect that some in Congress are anti American by this definition, which of course they have the prerogative to so be. You cannot support Sharia law and be pro American. To what extent Omar supports Sharia law, I don't know. I don't like or trust her.
About those all anti-... anyone think that Plutocracy is (most likely) anti-majority? And if majority is giving definition what is American? With that logic anti-Majority is same as anti-American, when and only when it's about American people. Also it's possible to be anti-American without being part of American population - just like terrorist groups are doing. So there is different ways to be Anti-Something, right? If Trump can maintain his base believe that he's innocent and truthful decent human being, there isn't much to stop him. Now Mueller report is out and some turbulence in horizon. We'll see how well Trump can fly thru or he just mess up by tweeting something really bad. I'm not even sure if Trump is able to regain confidence of EU / Asia - and if you think that any of it will NOT matter, are you serious? Some people around the world may hope for kind of decency what Trump can't deliver (if he's not capable to do so). Still, at this point, Trump may win again. Next presidential period is like what?
