I have laid out exactly why it appears fake now if you have evidence to the contrary I.e. a source of the photo…….
Meh not really. Trans exists. It is indeed important for doctors to be able to distinguish between real trans and "social contagion," but that would not change the fact that trans exists and affirmation is the standard of care. I have not evaluated whether the criticism of the article is legit or not, but it doesn't really matter for the overall issue from a political standpoint. The right is bigoted against trans is the main issue. If social contagion is a significant issue, it's something for doctors to study to make a more reliable diagnosis as they assume the responsibility of caring for persons with mental health issues, not for hacks to use as a weapon against real trans.
Nothing about it looks altered, you just want to cast shade on the mutilation of minors in the name of this sick, brave New world pseudo "science". All you did was say " nu uhh " ...... that doesn't equal "evidence"
The larger point is that the picture is mostly irrelevant, as it is one case (if even that). It doesn't show that trans isn't real. If the effort had more to do with requiring significant counseling or other measures before any surgery is taken, I'd certainly agree to that. But, hospitals do that right now. And, they push for a range of steps and alternatives BEFORE anything permanent would ever be considered..
This is an antiquated view. It's like someone declaring you need cause to get a divorce. There are thousands of people documenting their detransitioning and when they do they often note how quick and effortless the process was to obtain hormones and surgery. They note how little if any concern were given to mental health concerns, in fact the transition is claimed the solution to those mental health concerns. If you are depressed and suffering from anxiety, it's probably because your body doesn't match up with your gender identity so transition and both will disappear. Finally this is the age of social media and "influencers" can post videos describing how to navigate any questions and even how to lie to procure what you want quickly. There is a case right now in California about a woman who's daughter killed herself after transitioning. Part of the reason her daughter was able to do what she did is that social media videos taught the daughter how to lie about abuse within the home, be moved to foster care and then the foster care would permit and pay for her transition.
Please provide links to these "thousands of people documenting their detransitioning". Given that they are DOCUMENTING this then it should be simple for you to actually provide the EVIDENCE to support this allegation. Or did you just repeat some BS on a Xtofascist disinformation site that has ZERO credility?
This line of reasoning is dumb. Yes, it's possible that it's a big conspiracy as you say, but far more likely and more common is that the guy really is just a dumbass.
It is a complete waste of time expecting reason or trying to reason with those already down the conspiracy rabbit hole. Just ask them questions and keep the popcorn handy.
