What would he have to gain from a claim of US responsibility? If HE did it, he wont have any evidence the US did it.

I have serious doubts that the US sabotaged the Nord Stream system. Actually I wouldn't be shocked to discover that it wasn't sabotage, but caused by engineering or material flaws.

If the perpetrator was Russia, the signaling value toward the West—which would certainly know Russia is behind the explosions—may be a threat to the rest of the marine energy infrastructure.

 

The area where the pipe was hit is extremely deep and would need the kind of technology only governments possess. What would eco-terrorists gain by putting to nuclear powers on the brink of nuclear war? NATO/US was in the area just days before the explosions so how would someone carry out such an operation right under the nose of NATO/US?

 

Sanctions can't stop them from repairing the leaks.

If Russia blew up their own pipeline which I do not believe why would they want to repair it? You call them leaks but no one knows the extent of damage the 4 explosions caused.

Listen dude, it was 4 separate detonations, on three separate pipelines....almost at the same time. That measured 2.3-2.5 on the Richter scale.

People didn't vote to join Russia. The orcs don't even control anywhere close to the entirety of the territories they're trying to claim, so they can't hold an honest referendum involving anywhere near a majority of the residents.

*The US 6th Fleet was in the Baltic Sea and in the area and at the time of the pipeline destruction
*Ukraine is NATOS's puppet country.
*NATO is the US's puppet
*The US doesn't care about NATO, EU or Ukraine.
*NATO want this conflict to go on forever, as does the US.
*Why the destruction of the pipelines? So the EU will have to rely on the US for that energy.

Despite some internal inconsistencies, this is at least an elaborated propaganda concept. It needs to be, because it's a last gasp "Hail Mary" to try to mitigate the consequences of Russia's impending battlefield defeat.
Fact is that Ukraine and NATO are winning; they have no need to do anything but what they've been doing.

 

Not a bad analogy. Putin could, indeed, be thinking this way. e'll have to wait and see.
