Is the "Mexican" part of the equation important to you? It shouldn't be.

I love the NFL. My husband and I are HUGE die hard NY Giants fans. We get the football package on DirecTV to catch the games. They always play the National Anthem. We are always talking and drinking while it plays. We are also HUGE NY Rangers hockey fans. 86 games a year (plus payoffs). They play the Anthem at the start of every game. While it's playing we don't even pay attention.

I guess that makes us bad people.

But on to Kaepernick, the NAACP can take their boycott request and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I didn't boycott the NFL after their strikes, I didn't boycott the NFL when they let criminals like Michael Vick and Pacman Jones continue to play, and I sure as **** ain't going to boycott them because a mediocre washed up QB doesn't have a job.

I don't believe he was convicted of anything, was he?

No, I never boycotted the NFL. I thought I made that clear in my post?

Part of his job description, apparently, requires that he stand, along with the team, for the National Anthem. If he's not willing to fulfill his job requirements, he can find employment elsewhere. Attempts to make this into a racial issue are laughable.

These grown men and groups crying about him not being signed need to leave the drama to the High School teenage chicks.

12 pages of this crap is all summed up on the first page. You have a right to sit down during the anthem, the media has the right to blast over and over each game making it a bigger story than the game and other players. The owners have a right to say I don't want that circus show from him nor the media on my team, it's that simple. Game, set, and match, the rest of this is wasting internet space.

Yep. It's the same reason Tebow never stuck anywhere. Neither are good passers, so the baggage is greater than the benefit. Both have mad wheels, but that's not the NFL game. If you become a bigger distraction than your value you are gone. Both could probably play a different position and make a team but neither wants to.

What you didn't follow the 49ers down fall?

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sb...oss-jim-harbaugh-san-francisco-49ers-michigan

Former NFL great Randy Moss spent his final season in the league with the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 under second-year head coach Jim Harbaugh. The wide receiver had some harsh words for his former coach Sunday, alleging the same coaching tactics used at Stanford did not go over quite as well with the 49ers.

Harbaugh was hired by San Francisco in 2011 after establishing Stanford as one of the top college programs in the country. He posted a 29-21 record in four years with the Cardinal, after going 29-6 in three years with FCS San Diego.

If Moss's comments are true, they don't seem to have had much of an impact on the field. Harbaugh's 49ers have made three straight NFC Championship Games, losing to the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII

You made a statement that can be easily check. I just corrected you on it. Just like you could have easily check about the poll with NFL viewers. I trust nothing anyone says on here I google everything. And when someone makes and absolute statement like you did they have to be called out in a debate situation. Nothing personal just the FACTS.

You have very limited understanding of 1st Amendment rights which are very expansive and just.

Years ago, people from Jehovah's Witnesses and Quakers were persecuted by the government for refusing to submit to conscription. Some Quakers were persecuted for refusing to remove their hats when they were compelled to enter a court room. Some JW persecuted for refusing to stand during the national anthem. Convictions for these persecutions were all dismissed on appeal by the higher courts because the conduct were viewed as protected free speech.

Based on these precedents, Kaepernick's conduct is protected free speech as well.

Who has denied his free speech rights? As far as I know he can say what he likes.

So can protesters at a rally and those who oppose them.

Yet you call them "free speech denialist liberals."

    Laughable.

Wasn't it Kaerpernick's mostly black team that was clearly throwing games because they don't like what he's doing? Seems like an odd choice for the NAACP to involve itself.

Big Ben has never been arrested, charged or incarcerated for a crime. Neither has he disrespected this country and a majority of the fans.......see the difference there.....?

How did the Chic fil a boycott work out for you? How about Occupy Washington?
The NFL and the rest of the world will survive just fine without Kap. Let him sit on the sidelines forever in protest.

Too late to claim that since he had been signed by white owners and since most of the players in football are black. No, the race card won't play this time. He's on the sidelines due to his own personal choices. I know you hate having to take personal responsibility 'cause it's easier to blame the white man. His wounds are self inflicted.

    Odell, baby!

My husband bought me an autographed Odell shirt on the internet the day of the "big catch" (within an hour of it happening). He paid about $75 for it. The next week it was already going for $350 on the same site. I loves me some Beckham.
